  1. I'm just happy that they scored 2 runs, but it's not really whining. The umpire made a bad call, it's fact.
  2. Alright, lets go. That was huge.
  3. Ugh, bad call. The Yankees can't afford to lose base runners today.
  4. Doesn't excuse Hughes for giving up the line drive, but it definitely should have been caught.
  5. And Gardner costs the Yanks a run.
  6. Can't afford those kind of plays with the way the offense is struggling today.
  7. Hughes looks really good, just frustrating about the runs.
  8. Nick Johnson, 1B
  9. CC doesn't seem quite as sharp since he took that ground ball off his arm.
  10. Gom, 3-2 pitch to Jhonny Peralta leading off the 5th inning.
  11. He's been "s*** on this board" because he's struggled in past years. To me, he seems like a much different player this year. As for the everyday thing, you're just wrong about that. Melky, if healthy, is going to play almost everyday with the Yankees.
  12. It was Cash that was sent down, but it doesn't make that big of a difference. Molina will be back soon enough, and then Cervelli will go down as well.
  13. Well, like I already said, I'm banking on Melky's MLB numbers to not really fall off significantly. And, also, Ellsbury was taken 3 rounds prior to Melky.
  14. I admit, it might have been a little early to pick him, but I think his offensive production out of the centerfield position is pretty good. And Kilo, you're absolutely right, it's all about whether or not I expect his offense to continue. This year, to me, it seems like he is doing a much better job of working deeper counts, and he just seems like a different player than the Melky Cabrera of past years. I understand that what I'm going off for this year is an incredibly small sample size, and because of that, I expected to take my lumps for this pick. However, playing centerfield, and batting 7th, I don't think it's such a bad pick.
  15. You think he's that much worse, offensively, than Jacoby Ellsbury?
  16. He can really hit from the left side of the plate, and I think his production at the bottom of the order (I have him hitting 7th) is going to be valuable. He is off to a great start this year, and I don't see why that would change. EDIT: I might have picked him too early, but his offensive numbers out of the center field position are quite good.
  17. Melky Cabrera, OF
  18. Gom, your justification for not sending guys down always seems to be "they have nothing to prove in AAA". You have to understand that their are other reasons, besides what their minor league numbers were, to send a guy down.
  19. Udaldo Jimenez, P
  20. Sounds a lot like a LHP that takes the ball for the Yankees every five days.
