  1. I think they have to considering switching Teixeira and A-Rod.
  2. If Hughes pitches well tonight, I don't see how they could possibly keep Wang in the rotation. If they do that, they are truly not giving themselves the best chance to win.
  3. Even when Wang makes a good pitch...
  4. Wakefield should have just hit Swisher with the throw.
  5. Wake was getting the same calls. EDIT: Not to mention it was clearly a strike.
  6. Whole different series if it goes back to Fenway 1-1 instead of 2-0... And even if they still lose game 3, Schilling very well could have forced the series back to Chicago.
  7. Nady will solve a lot of problems, in my opinion. The hope is for him to be back after inter-league play.
  8. Yup, very very fortunate. And the first pitch to Cano, who drew the bases loaded walk, was a strike. Swung the whole AB.
  9. The runs this team has scored over the last few games have just been so fortunate. With that being said, I'll take it.
  10. This team would be in a lot worse shape if they hadn't gotten this kind of surprise production from Aceves. EDIT: Once again, a Yankee hitter gets ahead in the counts, but doesn't get on.
  11. What is really incredible is how poorly these hitters are doing once they get ahead in the count. When Teixeira was up in the 6th he worked the count to 3-0. Last inning A-Rod was 2-0. Here Matsui was 3-0. The offense is pretty pathetic right now.
  12. Wow, they need Nady back so badly. Matsui is so bad right now.
  13. lol, a blowout, I wish. The Yankees just aren't swinging the bats well, overall. They need to considering swapping A-Rod and Teixeira, because the Yankees are at their best when A-Rod is doing well.
  14. A-Rod is horrible right now. He keeps getting ahead, keeps getting pitches to hit, and keeps missing them. Very similar to what Teixeira was doing early in the year.
  15. Yeah, even though that was a grounder, the pitch was up. The last few games have been very poorly played by the Yankees, in almost all facets.
  16. Poor control from Joba today, but he's done a decent job. Biggest batter of the game, to this point...
  17. Joba going to his change-up a little more than usual. And he picks a bad time here to fall behind.
  18. I know I said this yesterday, and I know they scored eight runs on Thursday and seven runs yesterday, but they are not swinging the bats well.
  19. Great, so much bunting... EDIT: Girardi calls for the bunt much too often. EDIT 2: Huge waste. Might have been a different inning if Jeter hadn't fallen into a two strike hole trying to bunt, but Damon and Teixeira did a bad job as well.
  20. Yeah, his velocity seems to be increasing as the game has gone on.
  21. Joba goes to three balls way too much. EDIT: And A-Rod's play saves them a run. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like Joba is going to be able to duplicate the velocity he had in his previous start.
  22. I second that. And Girardi makes some wrong moves, but he is not costing them games.
  23. A-Rod may have cost the Yanks a run by not running out of the box on that pop-up.
