  1. Ugh, Colon walks Michel Hernandez in front of Upton. And, of course, Upton beats him. Shocking.
  2. The Royals bullpen is so bad. It's just frustrating that they lost last night and are on their way to losing again tonight when they had the lead in the 8th inning, at least one out already having been recorded, and Soria not in the game with runners on.
  3. Might have got one last night also. It was close, but I thought Cabrera had the throw beat to second. Burnett walked the next two after that.
  4. Wow, I think Nick Swisher strikes out every single time up. EDIT: But, wow, Verlander looks great.
  5. Perfectly located fastball to get Granderson.
  6. Why does every Yankee pitcher have to constantly fall behind? I'm very concerned about this rotation.
  7. It would be really nice if Jeter didn't run with nobody out and the heart of the order coming up. Anyway, Verlander has a heck of a change up. The 2-1 he threw to Damon and the 3-2 he threw to Teixeira were ridiculous.
  8. So what's happening after the draft? Are we definitely going to have a trade window? And I remember you saying something about voting on who has the best team.
  9. Very solid value pick, despite his age. Nice power, especially considering he'll be coming off your bench.
  10. Yeah, I didn't have another lefty in the bullpen besides Wilson, and at this point in the draft, my knowledge of individual players is severely lacking. I went with what I know.
  11. Phil Coke, RP
  12. Count me in as someone who would enjoy a football one.
  13. I'm sorry, but that is a pretty ridiculous analysis for the series. First off, the bullpen was never handed a lead. Second, the bullpen was only handed a tie once, and that was with one out in the fifth inning. What in the world would you have wanted Girardi to have done differently? You want him to go to Phil Hughes in the 5th or 6th inning of Friday's game. That is crazy. How many innings would you have wanted him to pitch? He already pitched the previous two game. The Yankees also have to think about the next two games. Lets face it, Chamberlain and Pettitte were awful, and Sabathia was not much better. Also, this team is pretty bad defensively. The sweep this weekend is, in no way, Girardi's fault.
  14. Haha, no, no one really gives me a hard time. Just figured I'd explain myself, because the Yankees have done very well as of late, and I've been here everyday.
  15. Chamberlain and Pettitte. That's the story. I have been concerned for awhile about the rotation, specifically those guys. Also, I haven't been trying to duck out of taking my lumps here, just haven't had computer access this weekend.
  16. Haha, to be honest, I don't think I've had too many uncivilized conversations with Red Sox fans here.
  17. Well, I actually think the time difference might not have that much of an effect. They're not flying directly out there. They just played three games in the central time zone, so the difference is less than usual. And, if you weren't saying those are reasons why the Angels would win in previous posts in this thread, than I apologize, because that's how I read it.
  18. The Yankees might lose the series this weekend because the Angels are a good team, and the Yankees are on the road. Those points are true. However, the fact that the Angels have played the Yankees tough for the last X number of years would not be a reason why the Angels won the series (if in fact they do). Different players, different year, different circumstances.
  19. Completely screwed up with the Jorge Cantu pick. Terrible, terrible selection on my part. I appreciate the Carlos Lee mention.
