  1. Two schools of thought here. Does Coach K run time, and try to make sure he gets a quality shot, or does he design a quick play to go two for one? Big time decision for a big time coach.
  2. Long way to go, but Singler has played a final four that is certainly worthy of MOP honors.
  3. I think Stevens feels that Duke is on the edge of taking control, evidenced by him bringing Howard back into the game so early with four fouls.
  4. Butler looks fantastically defensively coming out of the half.
  5. Excellent first half. Very entertaining.
  6. Butler has to continue to pull Zoubek away from the basket on the pick and roll if they want to be successful around the basket, in the half court.
  7. He can be very patient, as the announcers have discussed, but on the other hand I see your point. He seems like a guy who is all about rhythm and fluidity, without a ton of regard for the shot clock, the situation, and the defenders.
  8. It really is no secret why Matt Howard is always in foul trouble. He's incredibly reckless on the offensive glass.
  9. Butler would be smart to feature the pick and roll all night against Zoubek. He is very slow footed, and when he hedges on the screen, he is almost never able to properly recover.
  10. If Zoubek can stay out of foul trouble, he might have a huge night. And what a play by Scheyer, can't get enough of watching him play.
  11. Posada is dismal when it comes to keeping the ball in front of him.
  12. Joba seemed to hit a wall. In my opinion, he looked good through three batters (Beltre, Drew, and Cameron). It was downhill after that. As for Park, I also disagree. His two seamer definitely had some action on it. The problem was the location, as Park almost never hit his spots.
  13. CC seemed to tire around the 80 pitch mark, which is to be expected. He fastball and change were actually good tonight, so I'm optimistic that he might put together a decent April.
  14. I'd say that Posada is more responsible than Marte.
  15. The Yankees have to live with that, unfortunately. He has a ton of difficulty keeping the ball in front of him.
  16. Pretty amazing that with CC tiring, against a right handed hitter, with two strikes, CC goes to his third best pitch against against V-Mart.
  17. By the angle that YES showed he was out. Pedroia didn't touch the bag till his left hand reached the top right corner of the bag, allowing CC to beat him there.
  18. That's a good point. When I read your post I thought of them just as a starting right fielder and a starting center fielder.
  19. As a pleasant surprise, no Miller and Morgan for me. It's blacked out in NY, and YES is broadcasting the game.
  20. Being the best starting pitcher on a team (where there are four other starting pitchers) is a little bit different than being the best right fielder or center fielder on a team (where there are no other starters at those positions). I agree with you, I don't think Pettitte should make it, and I think there are a lot of factors that go into whether or not someone is worthy of making the HOF. I do think though, that being the leading man on multiple championship teams, and performing spectacularly on the biggest stage (which Pettitte didn't always do) should count for something.
  21. I'm not really sure this is something that's worth getting upset over. I think it would be a bit worse if they were actually part of the broadcast, but either way, it's not too big of a deal in my opinion. Anyway, enjoy the game everybody.
