  1. Just so everyone knows, Javy Vazquez will pitch poorly tonight because he gave up a grand slam to Johnny Damon in 2004. He just can't handle the pressure!
  2. A-Rod might have heard of Kyle Davies.
  3. Well there you go Suns.
  4. Great piece of hitting by Pierre. And Ozzie having Beckham bunt. Wow.
  5. Got to be either C.B. Bucknor or Angel Hernandez.
  6. Thing is, you guys can talk all you want about how it's Yankees' talk on a Red Sox forum, but the talksox.com, as it is structured, encourages us to talk about the Yankees. EDIT: At BS21, rsr, and anyone else who plays that card.
  7. Ask Robbie Cano about his interference calls.
  8. If Major League Baseball wants to speed up the pace of the games, which they've been trying to do for awhile now, they have to do more than just encourage the teams to play quicker. There are some things that can't be changed, which are mentioned by BPEF above me. However, there is one very simple change MLB could make. Batters attempt to control the pace of the game by stepping out, and pitcher's attempt to control the pace of the game by varying their set times. The Yankees and Red Sox's batters, especially, try to do this. MLB, very easily could make two simple rule changes. For each pitch, once the batter steps in the box, he cannot call time. Additionally, once the pitcher holds his set for a certain amount of time, the umpire will call time. This is the best way, in my opinion, to take any kind of pace advantage away from both teams. MLB has some problems, and while some are very difficult to correct, others are easier to correct (ex. pace of game and poor umpiring). I can't take their complaints seriously if they are unwilling to take the necessary steps to better the sport.
  9. Absolutely, but there is no need for a comparison. Both claims are accurate, and don't need to be disputed. You called Gom out, as if what he was saying was somehow inaccurate. I was only responding to that.
  10. Right, but what does that have to do with Gom's comment about CC running out of gas, partly enabling the Red Sox to come back on Sunday?
  11. Well, you can't say they would have swept, because there are obviously a lot of things that could have gone differently for the Red Sox the last two nights. However, his main point is accurate. One of the main reasons the Red Sox did win that game is that CC clearly tired, which probably won't be a recurring theme during the season.
  12. Haha, solid defense.
  13. Not saying he's great, and he was fortunate in his third inning of work (no idea why he was still out there), but I'd say this thread is a bit silly. Out of the bullpen, the guy is talented.
  14. Park gets lucky. Some pressure on the Yankees to score here, otherwise it's going to be the top of the Red Sox's order against someone other than Mo or Joba.
  15. All of a sudden Park gets squeezed. Wonderful.
  16. Haha, that's not something he needed to learn. That's about execution, not intent.
  17. He wasn't trying to pitch him up and in the other night either. His location was just way off. He was much sharper tonight.
  18. Tito got greedy, because he wanted him to face both lefties.
