And to think that, not too long ago, people thought (and rightfully so) that the Yankees' bullpen would be the part of their team that holds them back.
I hate it when AJ is pitching, but even I have to admit, he has looked progressively better in his starts this month.
EDIT: It's very similar to last year, and if the Yankees can make the playoffs, it might bode well for them there.
He says he really started to change his approach with the inside pitch towards the end of last year, and his 2009 September numbers back that up. Not saying there aren't other factors involved, just throwing that out as a possibility.
Might be a little extreme to bring the IF in with Millwood looking like crap, and the heart of the order coming up for the O's.
EDIT: Doesn't matter. See Yankees, it's that easy to make productive outs...
EDIT 2: Why would you try to paint the outside corner on 0-2? Go out of the zone.
Why in the world would he go to the fastball there on 0-2?
I have no faith in this team to call that right pitches. It hurt them last postseason, and it continues to this year.
He hit it well, but this is terrible. New game, same story. With the exception of that eight game winning streak, it has pretty much been like this the entire second half.
