They didn't do anything, but they looked good against Shields in the second inning, which gives me hope that their one big inning won't be all for the night.
As of late, Robertson has pitched more recently than either Joba or Wood, yet Joe goes to him against the top of the order. The Rays are unbelievable, they just keep coming.
Joba isn't his eighth inning guy, Wood is. He's the third or fourth reliever in the bullpen. It's completely common to see a pitcher like that enter the game in that kind of situation.
Great call there by Joe. I'd much rather him take a chance with the hit and run than sacrifice the runner over, which has rarely resulted in runs for this team.
