  1. Haha, well, boston22407 was still viewing this thread after I made my pick, so I think that's more on him than it is on me.
  2. Not a fan of the pick? Of all the corners left, I think he's the best bet over the next three years.
  3. Well, I highly doubt they win the division at this point. The Yanks and Rays will be tied in the loss column after tonight, and the Yankees' schedule is much much much harder the rest of the way. So be it. I just hope they clinch soon (preferably this weekend), because there are a bunch of guys that could use the rest.
  4. Sorry about the wait, this was a tough decision. Johnathan Joseph, CB
  5. Right on the borderline according to Gameday. Could have went either way. Now, the 3-2 pitch was definitely inside. Joe left him in too long.
  6. Girardi you're a moron.
  7. This is a mistake, leaving CC in.
  8. He can't get around on the fastball, yet CC and Posada go to the change on 3-2. Just atrocious pitch selection, and here comes the squeeze. EDIT: Especially tonight when CC doesn't have his good change.
  9. I don't get that pitch selection at all. So stupid. Go with your slider there on 2-2. Also, A-Rod is awful defensively.
  10. Big inning coming up for CC here, as the Rays captured some momentum last inning and have the heart of their order up.
  11. Price is a hell of a pitcher. He doesn't have his best stuff tonight, but with the game hanging in the balance, and the heart of the Yankees order up, Price flashed his brilliance.
  12. No go on the second one.
  13. Well CC and Price aren't living up to their last start. It's 2-1 in the third, and they've both pitched significantly worse than the score.
  14. Of all the bad decisions Joe Girardi has made with the Yankees, if he gives the ball to AJ Burnett in game 2 instead of Andy Pettitte (which he has expressed a desire to do), it would be his absolute worst move of his career.
  15. Sorry about the delay guys. In constructing my 3-4 defense, I've built from the outside in, going with two pass rushing outside linebackers. At this point however, I feel like I need to anchor my front seven with a premier nose tackle, who will help to clog up the middle, and draw double teams. My next pick is probably a bit undersized for a nose tackle, but his supreme athleticism at the position fits right in with my scheme. He's already a pro bowler, and he's healthier now than he has been in the last few years. Jay Ratliff, NT
  16. And out of nowhere, Jeter has looked very good at the plate since the Texas series. I'm not not optimistic about him after this year, but this does give me some hope for the postseason.
  17. Maddon is managing this game so much differently than Girardi. When one team really goes all out for the win, and the other doesn't, the former is typically going to prevail.
  18. Ball game. Well Joe went with the bottom of the bullpen (which I don't blame him for), and it cost them the game.
