what about a trade of David Wells for Mike Cameron. Wells would be back in SD, and i believe their salaries are fairly similar. Plus, SD has 4 OFers: Dave Roberts, Ben Johnson, Ryan Klesko, and Brian Giles
Coaching is like the Mafia. It's one big familia. The only way "in" is to know someone. The only way "out" is to get the bullet (be fired). And God help you if you betray anyone in the familia.
Is this a trick question?

I love that they think Manny and Clement are not enough for Miggy...
I think Tejada is a great SS and wouldn't mind him on this team but as far as best defensive SS... is there any better then Pokey Reese? That guy was a vacum, of course he couldn't hit his weight but defensively he was flawless..
He had tremendous range, and his arm was pretty good considering his size but it doesn't really compare to the strength of Tejada. Definetly more steady though.
I just read a rumor on Rotoworld that says they're looking into signing Preston Wilson. Good for them! I don't like him as a player, as I think he's greatly overrated, but I do think it's time the Pirates put better players on the field than they have in the past; at least the Pirate fans can go to the ballpark and expect to see some runs put on the board and a better chance of winning.
back to the manny trade, I also doubt that it is that simple.
We're essentially trading a utility SS/2B for a utility SS/2B. How does this help!? C'mon, the FO needs to complete a deal that actually gains us something.
