Manny is a career .369 hitter vs. Radke with 6 Hr's in 65 AB. He is .273 against Santana and .312 overall vs. the Twins.
Ortiz is 11-31 against his former club and has never faced Santana.
Mueller is a .391 hitter against the Twins in 46 AB.
Most of the other Sox have had marginal success against the Twins, and the only hitter who REALLY struggles against Santana is Damon (2-17 lifetime).
As far as the Twins go, no one really stands out. Both Schilling and Arroyo beat the Twins with very strong performances, while Pedro came out on the short end in that great duel vs. Santana (a game in which Pedro left after 7 with a 3-2 lead).
So....basically, even though we are 2-4 vs. the Twins this year, Schilling and Arroyo had two of the wins, while the pen blew Pedro's game. Seems like we would match up favorably against them....
yeah i would much rather travel to minnesota if i were the red sox than to anaheim...that series could wear on us with the time zone change. let the yankees have to deal with games out west.
AND
anaheims starters don't scare me though. it's sort of a mixed bag of emotions. i dont' care who we play if our pitching doesn't come back around we're screwed.
I don't care who we face...as long as we come out of Game 3 up at least 2-1 with Schilling, Pedro, and Arroyo taking the mound. Boooyeahh!
