    Rob Babcock ran the Raptors into the ground. His incompetency rates right up there with the worst of them. This sounds like a ploy to change uniform styles and thus making more money for Anaheim.

    The one thing Damon is far and away better than Crisp is taking pitches and working the count. How many times did Johnny have a 10 pitch AB? I guarentee it was more than Coco. I have faith that Papa Jack can work with him on this and make him the "tablesetter" Damon is. also anyone know what the status of A-Gonz is?

    Everybody is reporting this, so I think this is as "official" as it's gonna get.

    I wouldnt be surprised if they wanted to announce it together with Crisp cause when the rumor first came out it said we would get crisp and then sign gonzalez at ss. Guess we will just have to wait and see. Hopefully it will be announced this weekend. And then we can FINALLY take a deep breath !!

    I'm pretty excited about Riske too...I think the Sox have one of the best bullpens (on paper as of right now) in the majors. If Foulke comes back from surgery half as good as he was in '04 we will be all set. Tavarez in the 6th Riske in the 7th, Timlin in the 8th and Foulke in the 9th talk about turning a weakness into a stregth. Also I shouldn't forget Rudy Seanez and the lefty Jon Lester if they bring him up which I'm sure they will as he is about ready to face batters in the majors and probably be a starter within a year or so. That's just nasty.

Though Giggy's helmet has always been pretty cool....... When Disney sold the team, the marketing angle with the movies went as well. Not that "Ducks" is exactly an intimidating sports name but it beats the previous version. at least they arent changing to the Los Angeles Mighty Ducks of Anaheim

    Eh, gotta give to get. Wally can score as much as Ricky but he can do it as a shooter. Gerald Green and Tony Allen are the Celtics athletic guards of the future. They now have Paul and Wally that can score big and Al and Perk are going to get more minutes and grow quicker. The biggest part of this whole trade IMO is being free of Mark Blount's contract. He didnt earn the money he was getting.

    Schill is actually right, we were mad at Damon for having no loyalty to us, but nobody here had any loyalty to Millar, in fact we were saying don't let the door hit you on the way out. Schilling wasnt being rude, but just answering a question truthfully. What he said was regarding fans in general, not just Sox fans. Yes he did say Sox fans were hypocritical (and he's right) but went on to say fans (in general). Any fan only gripes about loyalty when it suits them. Yeah Curt makes alot of money, but it doesn't make him less right.
