  1. lol, How is that not a foul? ...and thats a foul on roberts? are you kidding me?
  2. Yeah, it seemed like it went off a little early, but I thought there weren't supposed to be any "do-overs" in CBB. If that was a clock error ball should have back underneath..not on the sideline. Refs aren't doing a good job IMO, If you keep an eye on how long GT is in the lane. They should be calling those three seconds calls. But, I'm surprised JB didn't get T'd up, He NEVER takes the jacket off...
  3. Yeah, I like 8 PM.
  4. Judging by the way Uconn has been playing lately, this is what i am basing my prediction on.
  5. Word, Go 'Nova. Foye, Ray, and Nardi will be lighting it up in Storrs, Baby! [/dicky v. voice]
  6. I wouldn't guarantee or get too excited that he can come back to form. Was he ever even in form?
  7. lol, seriously.
  8. yeah, to burn it.
  9. I guess that's what happens when you don't read.
  10. looks a little small
  11. don't know if this has been posted but... are you kidding me?
  12. us. needed younger players, canada did not. they tried to play an "old" style of hockey.
  13. the problem with the canadain team wasn't that they're overrated (ok maybe the defense was and losing niedermayer hurt a lot) or they should've had this guy or that guy. look at the players on that roster, they did not score. i don't think anyone on this board would've bet that the canadians would've been shutout in three games. if you did you're a better man than me. they did not score because they did not play inspired hockey. they were lazy plain and simple. they thought they would show up and every one else would fold their tents. all i heard was how we could have fielded two teams and they would've been playing for the gold and silver. pure arrogance and i think it filtered down to the dressing room. some minor adjustments could have been made, but would that have made a difference? i doubt it especially when you get shutout in three games. they are some serious primadonnas. you shouldn't expect a gold medal every time out, but this was a disaster.
  14. Someone's over-reacting.
  15. I think the Nuggets made out great in the trade
  16. SU vs. 'Nova March 5 a sellout NCAA record crowd will give McNamara a proper send-off in his final Dome game. Thursday, February 23, 2006 For the first time in the building's 26-year history, the Carrier Dome is sold out in advance of a Syracuse University men's basketball game. The Orange's game against No. 2 Villanova on Sunday, March 5, is a sellout, according to senior associate athletic director Pat Campbell. "We're within about 20 tickets of a sellout and I expect by the end of the day or shortly after people read this story those tickets will be gone," Campbell said Wednesday afternoon. "I'm amazed. It's really an unheard of thing to sell out in advance." Campbell called the 20 remaining tickets "Star Wars seats." "They are in the farthest reaches of the upper-level," he said. The game's allure is the final Dome appearance for Syracuse senior Gerry McNamara. McNamara is the school's sixth all-time scorer, the leading 3-point shooter, leading free-throw shooter, No. 2 in steals and No. 5 in assists. The Dome's capacity has been tested only on a few occasions. The university stops selling tickets when the only seats remaining have less than a 100 percent view of the court. Campbell said the NCAA record for attendance at an on-campus arena will be broken on March 5. Syracuse set the record last season when 33,199 fans watched the Orange defeat Notre Dame 60-57. But even that game didn't sell out in advance. "Last year, we had tickets for sale on the day of the game," Campbell said. Campbell knows this year's game will break the NCAA record because last year's Notre Dame game was part of ESPN's GameDay, which meant the network's temporary studio set ate into some lower-level seating. Also adding to this year's attendance is the addition of 200 courtside seats. "It's going to be a bigger number than last year's Notre Dame game," Campbell said. "What that number is I can't tell you exactly until game day." Campbell explained that the number of fans who watch from the Dome's luxury boxes can alter the final attendance figure. Syracuse's biggest crowd this season was 31,190 for the game against Louisville last Saturday. It was the 61st game in the Dome's history with a 30,000-plus crowd. McNamara's farewell game could finally put the record at an unbreakable height. As a freshman, McNamara started on Syracuse's national-championship team. Campbell said 64 buses will charter fans from McNamara's hometown of Scranton, Pa., to his farewell game. At approximately 50 people per bus, that's 3,200 fans. "We've actually set up a new traffic pattern for them so they can drive right off I-81 and park near the Dome," Campbell said. "The last time, they had to park at Manley (Field House) and Skytop. We tried to make it a little more convenient for them. Scranton's been real good to Syracuse University." Pretty Amazing..
  17. Canada sucks. Face the facts. Canada isn't the preeminent hockey country you think it is. 1 gold in half a century doesn't cut it. Face it, you were beaten by a better team. And then you played Finland, and got beat by them, and then by Russia.
  18. I'm "Damon is a Sellout."
  19. BTW, I wonder how far in debt janet gretzky is now?
  20. How about "Go Whoever Play's Duke!"
  21. Yeah, ummm....Go Georgia Tech!
  22. did you come up with that one all by yourself? Q: Which country was more pathetic? A: Canada, by a lot! Team USA wasn't supposed to be good or even medal. All four of their losses were by one goal and the scored more goals than Canada. Meanwhile Canada was picked to not only medal, but gold. All three of their losses were shutouts, including being shutout 11 of the last 12 periods! BTW, whats the medal count???? Sad, that a US team that wasn't even supposed to medal was better than Canada, who was supposed to win gold.
  23. Phil Kessel should be on the team in 4 years, no problem.
  24. They should take the "New York" off the front of the jersey and just put "Suckers" across the front Talk about stupid, because that's exactly what this deal is. You already have Marbury and suck. So why do you think adding another Marbury type player will make you any better? Now they have (including Crawford) 3 guys who are all the same player and they are still missing the most important thing (defense). The sad part is that they have talent up front (Curry, Frye) but with all the selfish gaurds on the roster (Q, Marbury, and Crawford) they will never see the ball. The Hardaway contract is where the Knicks screwed themselves. It is an expiring contract and held alot of trade value. It was one of the few assets they had No one is debating whether or not Francis is a talented player, he clearly is. The problem is, his contract that has 4 years and about 48 million remaining on it and the fact that the Knicks have a player on the roster that is exactly like him in Marbury. The Knicks have no need for a guy like Francis or his contract Being a Nuggets fan I could care less about the Knicks but the move is still mind boggling
  25. Knicks acquire three-time All-Star G Francis from Magic ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) - The New York Knicks own the second-worst record in the NBA. Now they own the most expensive backcourt in NBA history. The Knicks acquired three-time All-Star guard Steve Francis from the Orlando Magic for forward Trevor Ariza and the expiring contract of swingman Penny Hardaway on Wednesday. The deal was made one day before the trade deadline. Francis, who turned 29 on Tuesday, has three years and $48.5 million left on his contract after this season. But it doesn't seem to matter to the Knicks, who have the league's highest payroll and will be well over the salary cap through the 2008-09 season. With Stephon Marbury under contract for $16.4 million this season, the Knicks now have the highest-paid guard tandem in league history. Francis' salary for this season is $13.7 million. In 2006-07, Francis' salary will rise to $15 million. Marbury's salary escalates to $18 million and the Knicks still must count $20 million against the cap for retired shooting guard Allan Houston. Once recently acquired swingman Jalen Rose exercises his option, the Knicks will be required to pay him $16 million in 2006-07 season. Francis will make $16.4 million in 2007-08 and $17.1 million in 2008-09. "This is a trade that we all feel makes us a better basketball team for both now and in the future," Knicks president of basketball operations Isiah Thomas said. "In Steve, we add an all-star caliber player to our team without giving up core assets that are key to our future."
