  1. i know absolutely NOTHING about the red sox farm system, thanks for putting some info in me.. looks like we have a pretty good future with these guys. maybe some sort of boston big 3? i would love to have pedro and schilling around as mentor and pitching coaches. i mean, seriously. hall of fame pitchers teaching young studs how to pitch, how can you go wrong, right? john
  2. wow, notes that i have from game 3: BRONSON MOTHER f***IGN ARROYO is the HERO of game 3, i don't care what anyone says. anyone can hit a pitch over the plate for a walk off home run. for that youngster to come up today and strike out 7 before 6 innings was absolutely amazing. he made the angels look absolutely silly. tito made many good decisions tonight, not pinch running for ortiz. i felt taking bronson out was a good idea. he did his job, we were up 6-1, rest him for the alcs. i personally would have take timlin out against gurrero. i just had a bad feeling. but i guess baseball is about numbers, not feelings. timlin has been lights out and made on mistake at the worst time, we are all human. keith foulke has balls, pitching very very well. K-ROD is AMAZING, when is this guy a free agent. this guy is just amazing. i love k-rod. i don're care, he rocks. man, i've lost 10 years of my life because of this game. the pitching int he 8th inning, top of the 9th.. ugh, my soal, brain, body aches so much. then the win. i drank my brains to oblivian when vlad hit that granny. i can't even talk right now, i'll come back another day. i need to rest, this was just so amazing. we should all get together and watch game 1 of the alcs together. john
  3. HERO of game 3: BRONSON ARROYO john
  4. someone PLEASE KNOCK ON SOME DAMN WOOD!!!! red sox nation is getting way too cocky. the angels are a very very good team. we've dug ourselves out of 0-2 the last 2 times we were in the ds. john
  5. no doubt. i hope you don't think that i was implying in any way that the twins are a bad team. they are a damn good team, especially with that payroll. it's just that they could be a mediocre team and still take that division. john
  6. seeing that their division rivals are the white sox, Guardians, tigers and royals it's not too hard.. the white sox, their closest rivals were only 4 games above .500. the central division is a joke. john
  7. i honestly doubt his shoulder is in that much trouble, it's more of a way to have him be 4th in the rotation without the media going crazy because el duque pitched so well in his starts. torre is better at playing the media than we give him credit for. the ALDS's have been amazing thus far. even though we've outscored the angels pretty badly it's been a good series. the yankees twins series is shaping up to be a great series too. NLDS is always boring imo. cept for last years marlins comeback against the cubbies. john
  8. i'm a poopsicle, OC TOTALLY advanced on the throw, therefore no triple.. sigh john
  9. job leiber is not as bad as you think. everyone needs to lay of the yankee pitching staff. they did win 100+ games after all. as for last nights game. WTF is with leaving nathan in for THREE innings. he threw 44 pitches and he was still in. BAD DECISION. you think after 4 straight balls he would be yanked, then 4 more, then the A-rod double. john
  10. you guys are insane, i finished the game, walked to my girlfriends, went to bed, woke up at 7 am for class and then walked back home. how you guys stay up to post, that's beyond me. in responce to the quotes i made: i've always seen pedro hit 93-94. 95 was just pretty. he's been saving it, petey is by far my fav. pitcher. i'm glad he had a great outing considering i argued for over an hour with a girl that petey rocks. she says he sucks cus of his season and his attitude. dumb bitch doesn't know s*** about baseball, nor does she know petey. post 2: did anyone notice in the herald that it said OC got a 3 run double? i did, very uncool. it had the chance to be a in the park HR. post 3: bellhorn was trying to score off a single. i would have been that far off too. he was just trying to put some numbers up there for pedro. he might have been safe if he had not slipped. it happens, i'm not going to hate on him for it. i was more upset to see OC bunt for an out. he's not that bad of a hitter, he should have swung the bat. john
  11. pedro pitched much better than schilling. it was that misread by OC and manny that cost pedro some runs. it was a much better performance than we all think. i knew pedro would come through. i love the i'll blow you away with my fastball or if i can't i'll take your head off with it attitude he brings to the plate. it's cocky, it's arrogant, it's dickheaded, it's awsome. john
  12. anything with the red sox logo is going to FLY off the shelves if the sox win, not just that dvd. john
  13. i wasn't talking about you bruno, it just happened that i posted after you. i was talking about sara. it's settled and cool now. nomar got greedy, who doesn't? we all do. i hate the bandwagon nomar haters. john
  14. i'm pretty sick of all the nomar bashing. yeah, i'm not nomars biggest fan but i do appreciate the years he gave us. he was great against cleveland from what i remember. (brings back memory of good ole trot too!, and manny, and pedro, and colon). anyways, back on topic. easy on nomar everyone. yeah, he was offered a boatload of money and turned it down. but it was the sox management that bent him over and humiliated him in front of the nation. seriously, they screwed up bigtime. he's just a gut that is very very headstrong and had way too much pride to resign with the sox. theo made a great decision and we came out winners in the trade. there is no need to bash the man that gave us so many great years. it's not like he left, we traded him. don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that he wouldn't have left, but in the end we DID trade him and that is that. it's time to forget nomah and move on. john
  15. elsbruno, i would like to see a sox/angels comparison, much like the ones you made with the yankees. john
  16. if you haven't noticed the boston press SUCKS. the few true boston fans base our opinions on things that matter. it's the moron bandwagon fans that make s*** out of the stuff the boston press says. i honestly would kick dan "s*** for a writer" in the balls if we ever crossed paths. he's such a moron, knows nothing about baseball and says anything just so he can get more popular. john p.s.- i know he didn't write the article you're talking about, it was in the herald.
  17. number of senior members backing up me: 3 number of ANYONE backing up you: ZERO don't come here on your first day telling me that i'm not a true sox fan, especially becuase i don't believe in "THE CURSE". zenny is right, dan "s*** for a writer" made that up. he is possibly the WORST columnist ever. i hate him. once again, damn bandwagon fans that don't know anything about the rexsox. i bet you nubs can't even tell me the 2b from last year. john
  18. shutup, there is no damn curse. us "uniting" won't do jack s*** if the team can't produce on the field. god damn bandwagon fans. i hate them all. john
  19. welcome to last week. john
  20. i know huh bruno. no matter what you just don't want to say that the sox will win. i mean it's been heartbreak after heartbreak. even during the years we missed the postseason. it still hurt. john
  21. you sound like espn writers.. oh wait, half your info is taken from that site. get your own information, if you're going to take info give people credit. a-rod also isn't gay. he's one of the top 5 players in the game. he's gay because the players association didn't let him get traded to the sox, yeah, that makes sense. damn bandwagon a-rod haters. john
  22. well since everyone is making predictions i guess it wouldn't hurt if i made some.. alds: sox> yankees>twins alcs: sox/angels>yankees nlds: cardinals>dodgers houston>braves nlcs: houston>cardinals WS: sox>houston OR houston>angels yeah, i'm lame. john
  23. i don't care who he signs with, not having pedro is bad enough but the possibility of him being a yankee is far to risky. the yankees need pitching. they don't have a poor starting 5 but it's nowhere near the rotation of the late 90's and early 2000's. the boss will get pitching and will go after pedro. i will be very upset with the sox organization if they do not resign pedro. john
  24. ahhchon

    Ichiro

as much as i enjoy having damon around i would much rather someone that bats for a MUCH higher average, has more hits, has better base running skills, is better defensively, has a stronger arm and is not overpayed. having said that it would be hard to have ichiro on the sox, you would have to move manny to designated dh and move ortiz to first. that would just cause trouble with 1st base defence and other players like millar and dougie M. john
  25. mark my words, pedro is a MUST sign.. john
