    I don't. I only missed 4 games yesterday, and I'll take that considering a bunch of people already have busted brackets. All my Sweet 16's are still intact. Thank God I stuck with the Tennessee upset of G'Town.

    I really wouldn't be surprised if Miss St makes it, though the chances are low. Florida is for sure done, and Utah State could be bumped if the selection committee likes Miss St enough. They played a fantastic game and are a solid team.

    I would like to apologize to you. What I said was out of line and I was a little short on patience on that day. I agree that members should just ignore it, but that very rarely happens here, if ever. For some reason someone is always going to respond with their own opinion that will piss someone else off, and cause arguments between members who are really here to discuss baseball for a team they commonly root for. When that is jeopardized, standards have to be made and enforced, and unfortunately that calls for a very short lifespan for most of the threads you post regarding political news or foreign affairs. I will do my part to be more patient, and once again would like to apologize for being a douchenozzle.

    See, and with a comment like this, you only add to what was never really a problem. No one actually thinks this is the place for that, he's just reminding everyone that Jacko has a bit more knowledge in this area than most, if not all, here, and that there are indeed immature posters on this board who WILL jump on him in a thread like this for producing his medical opinion. By adding a "wow" to the end of your statement, you apply a negative rhetoric to your own post and sound confrontational to Spud. This is how issues arise over text that people misread on the internet. I agree with you that this is not the place for banter, so I'm going to remind everyone not to let it spiral out of control. I shouldn't even be making this post because it's bound to get someone upset, but on this board we need to throw water where there's smoke even if there's not a fire.

    Nate, what warnings have we given you throughout your 4 f***ing years on this board regarding threads of a political nature? Do you even post anything regarding the topics for which this board was created anymore?

    I would probably do the "call me" sign too if I was getting a text every f***ing time I missed a free throw or made a mistake in-game. He probably had 400 text messages after last night, and that's probably being conservative.

    A pad won't help at 90 mph. The whiplash and damage your internal organs experience when hitting a solid object at that speed, regardless of padding, are too much. They need to add a barrier to keep people from hitting things, not adding padding to the things they hit.

    Solid deal for the Giants. They finished their arbitration negotiations with Lincecum and finalized a 2-year/$23M deal. For a 2-time CY winner, that's not bad at all.

    I go to BC, so I obviously hate ND. Mediocre season after mediocre season...doesn't get better. Listening to those idiots on the radio when I went out to the ND-BC game this year was epic. They were talking big smack before the game, and after they won, said they would run the table and get a BCS berth. lol! That game never should have been so close to begin with. BC had NO business having any chance whatsoever to win that game. I went only to see the stadium and the history, and maybe we could pull the upset. Their fans are also spineless. I was decked out in BC gear in the Notre Dame fan section (not the students, but still, there's a passionate following for them), and I was going CRAZY when we would score. I didn't get ONE remark, look, nothing. They just sat there and let me rain on their parade. It's the Holy War, after all.

    Pete Carroll will suck at the NFL level again for the next few years, then return to the college level to take college football's most challenging task - getting Notre Dame back on track (after they get fed up with and fire Kelly).

    Any team can take a short series from another... that's why making the playoffs (especially winning a division) over a 162-game marathon is quite remarkable. I agree with jacko that a series loss to a Japanese team would be humiliating instead of a reasonable measure of talent.

    AFC WC: Patriots over Ravens AFC WC: Bengals over Jets NFC WC: Cowboys over Eagles NFC WC: Packers over Cardinals AFC D: Chargers over Patriots AFC D: Colts over Bengals NFC D: Saints over Packers NFC D: Cowboys over Vikings AFC: Chargers over Colts NFC: Saints over Cowboys Super Bowl: Chargers over Saints I think Dallas matches up really well with the Vikings, and is the only team other than New Orleans that could beat them. The emergence of Miles Austin during the year and Malcolm Jenkins playing REAL well for the second half has been humongous for them. I think DeMarcus Ware eats Favre up... at least Romo can move around a little.

    That game, Texas/BC, was frigging unbelievable. I couldn't believe we were actually pushing TEXAS that far.

    Fine, leave it standing. Move the Red Sox. I don't care what they do with the historical dump, but trying to watch a game there is a pain in the ass sometimes.
