    Interesting, because I recall McClelland being voted by the players as one of the most respected umpires in the game due to his fair strike zone. The playoffs last year were f***ing horrible though.

    You need to lighten up. Enough of the hostile attitude. He didn't do or say anything to warrant an attack. You do this too much, and it has to stop. I can't remember one time you didn't come onto this board without inflammatory remarks flying from your keyboard.

    I'm going to go way out on a limb... Flyers in 6. I love the way they're playing. I also love the Hawks, but something's telling me it may be Philly's year. Just a gut instinct. Leighton will stand on his head and single-handedly steal 2 or 3 games.

    I'm not worried about blowing the series, but losing tonight doesn't really make me feel good. For whatever reason I feel like coming back from 3-1 is easier when you've been down 3-0 as opposed to 2-1. It's a momentum swing and they get to go back home. Again, I'm not freaking out, but I really wanted them to win this so they just didn't even have to go back to Orlando. Playing a Game 6 will make things real interesting, and then I'll be biting my fingernails.

    They really f***ed up down the stretch. They had a TO, why not take it? Doc is one of the best in the game at drawing plays from timeouts. The game was tied... draw up a good play to give us a solid chance to win the game and the series. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Whatever, I'm not too concerned about this.

    When he was catching a ball got fouled off of his foot/shin. He walked in his at bat but was clearly limping. That's why they took him out.

    I agree with ORS. Too many Yankee fans argue "well, someone has to be the greatest beneficiary of it" and readily acknowledge that it's unfair, but just acknowledging it isn't any type of "concession" (for lack of a better word... I think you know what I'm trying to say). There's an attention that's paid to the flawed system by many Yankees fans but it's empty when there's no immediate desire to level the playing field. Acknowledgment is the first step in a series of necessary steps.

    What the hell is that supposed to mean? I was quoting your post and offering my insight into the LA vs Cleveland debate. "You" was used as a generic term, not you personally. Put away the assumptions.

    I think LA matches up much better with the Celtics than the Cavs. LA has size and physical play to match what the Celtics do to their opponents. You can't say that you would take 4 Celtics after taking Kobe Bryant in a draft of the team's players like you could about LeBron and then the rest of the Cavs and Celtics. I don't think there's any doubt that LA is a much better team than Cleveland, especially in a best-of-seven series.

    He's the only Yankee fan on this site that I can confidently say is here through the thick and the thin. You'll notice it too as you're here more... he doesn't disappear when things go sour for him.
