  1. I must say, it might be a blessing in disguise. Walk Giambi so it's only 1 run, now A-Rod's up in a clutch situation, we may get out of it with only 1 run as opposed to more damage done by Giambi. It's ok.
  2. Bases loaded, Seanez pitching, 2 outs in the 7th, Giambi up.
  3. Because Cora is a pretty good defensive SS himself and he has a better bat than A-Gon?
  4. If we were able to have a Papelbon every year, the Red Sox would have no pitching problems. That is obviously not the case.
  5. The kid's nasty. What can I say? I had a feeling he would be coming up pretty huge tonight anyway.
  6. By the way, does anyone know what the hell that pitch was from D-Lowe that he threw to Long to beat the A's in the 2003 ALDS? I don't even remember being able to put a name to it, all I remember was being like, "Holy s*** that was nasty....now what the hell was it?"
  7. Well, I must say... This is better than watching DiNardo every 5 games. I think we'll be fine if we keep Pauley around. I like the kid.
  8. Putting home field advantage in the world series at stake in the all star game was the dumbest thing ever.
  9. Whatever, he's an idiot, leave the dumbasses alone.
  10. He just has a Red Ruffing fetish.
  11. The only question mark out of the 3 that you listed was Lowell. Youkilis was going to be better than Millar. Hell, Mo Vaughn at this point in his career would have been better than Millar. I think someone also wanted Buckner to be brought back. Loretta was expected to hit like this. He's a career .301 hitter coming into this season, and it was definitely expected that he'd hit like it. Graff was great, but Loretta was expected to do better. Lowell coming off of the worst year of his career was the question mark, however he performed like the all-star 3B like he is in the years previous to his slumping year, and he's always been known for his D. This was the only question mark, IMO. I don't think those are the greatest examples to use.
  12. He'll be fine. Tonight was just a tough night all around. We'll bounce back.

  14. With David Paulie going tomorrow, you're damn right we're going to need my mojo. I'll do it tomorrow.
  15. God. The Clemens thing is so dumb. Whatever I'm not getting into it again. The Damon thing on the other hand is reasonable. Texas has always had terrible pitching, or well, not terrible but their lacks have been in the pitching department. If we start Lester against Wasdin it is by no means a guaranteed win. This club can flat out SMACK the ball. Their offense is scary. If they had decent pitchers that could consistently give out quality starts they'd be my pick to win the West every year.
  16. I dunno Yeszir, you might get abused for being too politically incorrect with that picture! Good mojo, I like. It's going to be a hell of a pitcher's duel, here's to hoping Beckett comes up big. Yankees? In the Bronx, too? No problem. I say Sox win 4-2. By the way, I was being sarcastic with the first line of my post if you couldn't tell.
  17. Hahaha, when you stressed out the "as" I thought you were talking about asses. Whoops. Anyway, ayo!
  18. We have to beat the Yankees while they're hurt. If we take any less than 2 in the Bronx (which, in my mind is a disappointment and failure for the series in and of itself), we set the tone for the rest of the season when all their players are healthy again. They scare me enough with what they've been doing with the patchwork team, and I'm not exactly looking forward to the amount of success they can have when everyone's healed. If we don't beat this team that they field at least 3 times in the next 4 days, it's a disappointment. We will get toyed with once everyone is healthy again for them if we can't even beat the back ups (for the most part). Make their pitchers beat us, their bats shouldn't.
  19. Why? The direction they are going in would pull Wily Mo towards them. A young power hitter with the potential to hit 40+ homers in your lineup in the coming years. Depending on how Abercrombie does down there, WMP could take up CF again and get comfortable. Besides, I'd be willing to bet that Abercrombie would become WMP's backup. But we aren't going to trade WMP. That would be stupid. He's been ripping the ball apart and we're going to need a RF for next year. (I'm pretty sure Trot won't be back or am I mixed up here?)
  20. They have Edmonds filling the hole at 1B. They don't need a 1B
  21. Whoops, my bad.
  22. Which is the point we are trying to make...thanks...
  23. Who gives a s***? Players are out there to have fun, and the fans loved it. Why not? Rookie or not, the point remains that the kid's the top prospect in the league, and he's out there having fun. No one should really care that much.
