    Haha, sorry for being picky, but it's Craig Hansen, not Chris. Oh, and yes, I agree. I'm banking on Papelbon sliding into the rotation next year. It would really make up for the old age in our rotation (minus Lester and Beckett). Imagine a rotation of Schilling, Beckett, Papelbon, Lester, Wake...it's amazing.

    If this gets done, imagine an outfield of Dye, Soriano and Podsednik (moving to CF). I hate the White Sox. The Nationals have an interest in Brandon McCarthy. They are also close to obtaining MacDougal from the Royals to bolster their bullpen. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2528494 I wonder why the White Sox would be willing to part with McCarthy for Soriano. Don't they have high hopes for him? Young pitching...

    Pena should have been in there whenever there was a lefty on the mound since he came off of the DL. I'm not going to sit here and watch Kapler play over Wily Mo while Arroyo puts on performances like the other night against the Mets. Play Pena, you didn't trade away Arroyo to have Wily Mo watch Kapler play.

    He was kidding. Can you put spaces between sentences or do you only do it between words within a sentence? It's very annoying. And also, please, that humongous motion emoticon in your sig is quite annoying.

    Of course you don't trade Paps or Lester, maybe Pedroia. I see Hansen as expendable in the right situation. Why do you think these guys will bring us a championship? Yeah sure, they'll do good things for us, but our future with these guys is just as uncertain as anything else. They're probably supposed to bring us championships, what if they don't? If you can win a championship now, then do it. Like a700hitter says all the time...a banner lasts forever. I would love to see these kids play, but if giving up 1 or 2 of them could help us make a serious run this year and in the next few, then yes, by all means do it. Bagwell was supposed to win us a championship, we were also supposed to win in '67, '75 and '86. What happened there? Don't say that these kids will piece together a championship team. Yes, maybe a championship caliber team, but by no means is it set in stone that we will win because of these kids. You're setting yourself up for disappointment.

He proceeds to go 0-4 with 4 K's Good ol' A-Rod. Playing DH/3B for the Red Sox, while in a Yankee uniform

    I understand your position, but you really think it would help those mental aspects to play in Boston? Please, we would be all over him if he didn't do 100% of what would be expected of him. He would know that if he came here and had something go wrong, there would be a bounty on his head for coming to Boston from New York and not producing and living up to expectations. Besides, I'd much rather pay Manny $20 million who has proven his success in Boston year in and year out, than pay A-Rod's salary and hold my breath. Obviously I would take Carlos Lee and A-Rod, but who's to say a Carlos Lee would replace Manny? There are too many other paths that the Red Sox could follow. I'd rather have Manny leading the AL in assists and putting up those power numbers we all know and love than watching A-Rod try to survive in Boston. By the way, taking your side doesn't warrant getting blasted. You put forth a sensible argument, and I can see why you'd take him. By the way, I'm assuming he would play SS here, correct?

    Holy s***. I would absolutely cry if that deal was made. Bell would do better than whatever A-Rod left, and suddenly the Yankees get 2 of their COF positions absolutely solidified. That guy Gordon isn't bad either. A-Rod, veto it. Please.
