    There is some truth to that; however, when you have such gaping holes as CF, you cant be unwilling to give up any of your players in fear of injury. If we just kept a ton of starting picthers to avoid a disastrous hole in the rotation, we would get nowhere because we wouldnt trade them. Having a surplus of starters is a huge luxury and we are not in the position to hold on to extra starters: we need a CF. Plus, comparing to last year is not a great idea, you had schilling coming off of his injury; now hes been working on it all offsreason really hard, and you had wade miller coming off of an injury. Now that isnt the case, so we need not hoard our starters and sacrifice an opportunity to get a CF that we so greatly need.

    No doubt you protect your family member; he was not out of line in any way. David stern, by penalizing him is saying "you were wrong and the wasted drunkard in the stands harassing your wife was alright...oh and this is a family activity to go to the games everyone" i mean, hes being an idiot by apeealing to youths and then condoning alcoholism and the idiocy that it entails... I really see no wrong in this, ejection, yes, thats the rules but not only was he defending his wife but he didnt do anything, he just walked up and that was basically it;no fine should be issued

    Oh man i love this; i love arroyo out there; his breaking ball is so sick. He definetly needs to work on his other stuff or this deal may not be worth it. Hes also not totally inconsistent like Clement who just jumped off a cliff after the all star break: arroyo last year was 7-5 before the all star break and 7-5 after it. And i totally agree with his love for the fans and the community: he came to my school to do an acoustic performance/Q and A/signing :thumbsup: ...but it was $45...:thumbdown .

    I think it is so lame that the US is opposed to Cuba entering the series. This is baseball, and the government should shut the hell up, dont they have a war to worry about rather than spend their time bitching about some players from cuba? Its not like these players are castro themselves either; they shouldnt be prevented from playing baseball just because their dictator is an *******. Plus, this is the WORLD baseball classic; since when is the us government the representative for the world...Us gov definetly needs to get over itself.

    There is no way you can really think that Burke should be started from just his postseason numbers, which were good, but not mindblowing.

    I am having a really tough time finding that to be the most offensive OF in baseball, especially if in order for it to happen abreu and manny would be in one together.

    Leadoff aside,he would be a good choice for CF; he might be on the block because the astros signed another CF, preston wilson, which means they have a surplus of OF.

    Why do u keep going back to OPS, who needs slugging in a small ball leadoff man? Plus, youk got that high OBS in wayyy fewer games, Tavares STARTED. CS aside, Tavares is clearly much much faster than Youk; a combination of speed and obs is what you want in a leadoff.
