  1. Trade for Felix Hernandez, and give up a Heathcliff Slocumb.
  2. Yes, a small link in your sig is acceptable.
  3. Now we will just be rooting for the Yanks to lose the rest of the way.
  4. I have no doubt it will be.
  5. Or Oakland, or Texas, or Seattle, or Minnesota, or Detriot, or Kansas City, or Baltimore, or Toronto............ The point it we have had a very good season no matter how you look at it. Should Olerud be starting more then Millar, probably, but it doesn't mean we could have won the last game, or any of the other games for that matter. The Red Sox are still probably going to make the playoffs, and it doesn't matter how you get in, just so long as you are in.
  6. I agree, but I like how you say 'former batting champion' when he won it over a decade ago.
  7. God damn, idiots like this make me want to go on a banning rampage.
  8. Looks like there will be another Red Sox-Yanks ALCS.
  9. Got internet connection, you can buy games on MLB.tv
  10. They are like bugs, you can't get rid of them. We have tons here. BTW, I love the username, and the explanation.
  11. You mean the XFL. We could have the XBL. Also have fan interaction, if a ball goes into the stands, it is still live! Haven't you ever wanted to see players jump the fence and run up the stairs to catch foul balls, or Home Run balls? It would be great!
  12. I really don't see the point, because it is exactly the same, just with the older posts.
  13. I still disagree that the M's were the best in 01, but I do now realize that you said the same thing. [Retract that part of my post]
  14. Yes. Seattle wasn't the best team in 2001. The best regular season team, yes, but they crumbled when it counted. Why did the Yankees beat the Mariners in 2001? Because the Yanks were built for the playoffs and the M's weren't. In my book if you can't win in the postseason, then you shouldn't be considered the best team in the game. The Cardinals are arguable, because they did make the World Series, but a team like the Mariners, no.
  15. That doesn't mean the best team can't win the World Series. This is where you kill your own argument Pitching wins championships. How many runs total did the Cardinals score the entire World Series? Only 12 runs, and 9 of those where in the first game. After that, we held the Cards to 2, 1, and 0 runs in game 2, 3, and 4. The rest doesn't really matter if you pitching staff is that dominant.
  16. Moved and double post deleted.
  17. At least we have Manny coming up next inning.....
  18. So now we define overkill as something that was mentioned too much when the Yankess were the victors, but not when the Red Sox were. I'd say the media coverage was about even for both, and I don't see either as overkill.
  19. Except when he hit those pivotal home runs in the ALCS, right? (But I agree on the K issue. And the fact that he sucked as a 2B otherwise.)
  20. Moved from the Avatar thread.
  21. Because that kind of BALCO 'roid is hard (or impossible?) to trace, and perjury is one of the hardest crimes to prove.
  22. If you want one like that, or different, feel free to request.
  23. Ironic that the World Series win is costing us that much money.
  24. Felix Hernandez is good. Trade for him.
