  1. We shouldn't have won the previous two.
  2. Along with all our other losses. I know I'm going to keep this one, and all the others, individually and severally in mind if we miss the WC by one game. In other news, we won this series.
  3. Plus the two guys thrown out at the plate, and the 4 homers we gave up, and... but if Beltre's error led to the winning run, I guess the 4 HRs didn't matter.
  4. What's the alternative? This is not meant to be snotty. I know it probably sounds snotty as you read it, but I'm really asking for information. Beckett's out for a while, apparently. Other than that caveat, my answer to your question is, "Very few. Like roughly zero."
  5. 2 games back of NYY now, 2 games out of the wild card (not coincidentally), and ready to slash through a dozen games against the lesser lights of the AL. Excellent!
  6. Oh, I'm not saying that we can't hit good pitching. Like you said, we've done it consistently this year. It was just ironic that you mentioned it just when we were beating up on Cormier. That's all.
  7. If you had told me the score of this game would be 11-2, I'd have said, "Dang, I thought we'd lose but couldn't we at least keep it competitive?"
  8. To be fair, they're hitting Cormier right now, so that's not exactly "good pitching". But we scored 11 (and counting) without 3 major lineup pieces against Garza et al. in the Trop. Yeah, things are going well.
  9. Quick inning for Ramram? There's some sort of temporal vortex flux affecting quantum probability outcomes at the Trop. Or eddies in the space-time continuum. Or something.
  10. We need to give the rest of the league lessons in how to hit Rivera. Twins go meekly in the 9th.
  11. He's on the mound until there's a baserunner, maybe? That's likely to be the first batter. Uh, I mean second batter.
  12. Reminds me of (Eric?) Plunk, a reliever from a few years back. Now we need pitchers named Balk and Hanger.
  13. That's awesome. As was the iphone app answer. Whoah -- fast clean inning for Lackey. 6 IP, 11 baserunners, but he's in line for the win. Lucky schmoe.
  14. I guess the players and the fans get kind of bored waiting for him to call the pitches, eh?
  15. Dang! Can you actually see him pulling the coin out and flipping it, or is he doing it discreetly?
  16. I know I ask this question almost every time I'm in a game thread, but I don't get to actually see the games. I appreciate you guys being my eyes. So anyway, is the ump behind the plate doing as crappy as Gamecast makes it seem? Looks like he's just flipping a coin when he hears the ball hit the catcher's mitt. Heads, ball -- tails, strike.
  17. Do not walk guys when you have a 4-run lead. Seriously.
  18. Aaaaaand that's a ballgame for Garza, I assume.
