  1. He's going to be one of those curiosities that we vaguely remember ten years from now. "Remember that guy who set up for Paps in, uh, what was it, 2010 or so?" "Yeah, guy named Warrior, or Cleric, or Mage, or Rogue, wasn't it?" "Wait a sec, wait a sec... Bard, I think." "Right, Bard. Whatever happened to that guy?" "I dunno. Seems like he just disappeared."
  2. Cy-sar Ramos, cutting through our lineup like soft cheese. I hope that's not our last hit until the next time Drew bats.
  3. Boogaloo. Team's first hit since Drew's own GS.
  4. I still find it odd. I mean, are the new pitchers throwing something fundamentally different from what the batters have been seeing since high school? It's still fastball, curve, change, slider, isn't it? Or are they teaching the gyroball down there in AA?
  5. It's weird, isn't it? What is it about pitchers that we haven't seen before? I mean, teams should just spot-start guys from AA against us every game. We wouldn't win another game all year.
  6. ELECTRIC BOOGALOO!!!!!
  7. So how's Lester going to look after a 3.5-hour rest?
  8. Toronto is lapping SF. Good gravy. 10 runs and it's only the third.
  9. Did someone say something about RISP? How about 4 in a row!
  10. I'm figuring a three-day ban whenever YOTN reads that. EDIT: The Force joke, that is, not your smiley.
  11. May the Force be with you! ...just kidding.
  12. Scratch that -- 7 run rule achieved for Hughes. Took him all of two outs to get there.
  13. I know there's a Yankees gamethread, but it's worth noting that Hughes has given up 6 runs while recording only one out. That will damage your ERA.
  14. Totally agree with you, Jung. Nava is better than Gomes at everything, from what I can tell. It's like they decided before the season that LF would be a platoon, so a platoon it is. Nava has won the starter's job, in my opinion. And especially with what you underlined earlier about our inability to get on base this month, why not go with the guy who has the .857 OBP (or something like that -- haven't checked the numbers recently ).
  15. I don't want to jinx anything, but just looking at the numbers... this could be an acceptable series for us.
  16. Tacoby is on pace for 77 SB and 0 CS.
  17. Gulp... That's going to be me one of these days, never having been there myself. If it's a game like this, I guess I'll probably be asking for my money back.
  18. Well, past midnight here again and no compelling reason to stay up watching this one, so I'm gone. I expect to read of our miraculous comeback tomorrow morning.
  19. You know, honestly, I find this kind of game kind of relaxing. Of course, I'd rather it be relaxing because we have the huge lead, but it's relaxing anyway. I mean, baseball teams are going to lose a lot of games every year, and every once in a while it's going to look like this. I'm sure all of these guys have gotten beaten worse than this plenty of times. Confidence will return just as soon as Lester is mowing people down.
  20. Are you implying that I do?
  21. And Aceves himself is coming off the bench to hit both of them! At the same time!
  22. Just got mine yesterday, woot woot. ...though I've been here juuust a bit longer than you, so my posting rate might not be quite as high.
  23. What say we just forfeit and save the 'pen?
