  1. On one hand, O'Neal is a better fit than Wallace was, but on the other hand, this guy is old, and I think it'll take all of two weeks to get his raggedy bones injured. The jury will be out on this one, folks.
  2. Chris Leben is my hero.
  3. I'm going out to Hooters to watch the fights, should be a great card. Hopefully I don't buy too much beer. Akiyama vs. Leben is going to be a war, so much leather will be tossed around, same can be said for Brown vs. Lytle, huge fan of both of those guys. Both have fight of the year potential. Pellegrino vs. Sotiropoulos should be another solid fight, both guys are great grapplers, so I'm hoping to see some great ground action in this fight.
  4. My original point is that around 90% of Americans don't pay attention to soccer, and essential say the sport sucks until they hop on the bandwagon for the World Cup.
  5. Finally people in the US will stop pretending to care about a sport irrelevant to America.
  6. Hell of an offseason so far. IN: Seguin, Horton, Campbell OUT: Wideman, Begin, Satan Re-upped: Boychuk, Recchi, Seidenberg Lucic - Savard - Horton Ryder/Wheeler - Krejci - Seguin Recchi - Bergeron - Sturm Thornton - Sobotka - Campbell Chara - Boychuk Seidenberg - Stuart Ference - Hunwick Rask Thomas That's a hell of a team.
  7. Bruins get Nathan Horton and Gregory Campbell for Wideman, #15, and a 3rd rounder. I love it.
  8. Any idiot that argues Kobe over Jordan is completely, 100%, a joke. I'm not going to get into this argument because it is not worth anyone's time to sit here and argue about semantics.
  9. Manute Bol was a hell of a humanitarian. This thread's name should be changed because it's a disservice since Bol as the human he was, and Jordan's complete dominance of the NBA. This has nothing to do with the NBA. This thread is not about the NBA and it's about the great person the Manute Bol was.
  10. OUT: Bergeron, Stuart, #15 IN: Hall/Seguin, Semin Plus it makes our choice of Boychuk/Stuart plain as day, and opens the door for Boychuk to get back.
  11. IMO we'd have to add A LOT to Thomas to even have Washington consider making that trade. Once the Blues picked up Halak, I see no more viable places for Thomas to go.
  12. ^Every media outlet has said that is an absurd and untrue rumor. The Bruins are apparently close to trading for Nathan Horton though, per NESN.
  13. I hated the way the refs called this series; it's the f***ing finals, let them bang. The refs called a pretty fair and consistent series, I was getting frustrated with them during the 4th quarter on Thursday, but they were getting all the calls because the Lakers were vastly outworking the Celtics. I hate to say it but it kind of looked like they wanted it more.
  14. Perk did his ACL and PCL...smell ya later perk.
  15. The moneyline is +245, meaning if you bet 100 it pays out 245, meaning 2.45:1. The spread is +6.5, meaning if the Celtics lose by 6 or less, or win the game, they cover the spread. If they lose by 7 or more, the Lakers cover the spread.
  16. +245? +6.5? Vegas disrespecting the Celtics has had a great affect on my bank account, and I hope that shall continue tonight.
  17. I personally put him above Nash, but I think that in itself is debatable as well.
  18. Did you really resort to saying that? Seriously? Rondo is f***ing awesome, but let's not forget that Paul had an injury plagued year on an EXTREMELY volatile team. People only started to entertain the notion that Rondo was in the top 3 when these guys teams were out of the playoffs, and none of the major veterans have the legs to be playing at their highest level so Rondo has to pick up some slack. Rondo gets tons more help from his supporting cast than Paul and Williams respectively do. When the one reason you can give for placing Rondo ahead of Paul and Williams has to do with how far their respective teams got, that's where you know you need to go reevaluate your opinion.
  19. Rondo's a tier below Paul and Williams. It's not really an argument.
  20. Rather large game tonight. We lose tonight, smell ya later.
  21. I'm ******** that I can't watch hockey until October.
  22. The people who piss me off the most are the ones that piss and moan about the 2-3-2 series in the Finals. It rewards the teams that go out and win on the road. You have home court to start, you hold your home games, and if you take one of three on the road, you get 2 shots to close it out at home. If you don't, you dig out a win on the road and you go home with 3 to win.
  23. There was one angle that supported that view, but the rest looked like Gasol. Realistically, I dont think you can overturn that without better evidence. It's a one way or another call. LA was getting those calls in game 1. It all evens out.
  24. From what I saw Garnett touched it first, but Gasol knocked it out of his hands. RONDO FROM 21 PERK UNDER THE HOOP SMELL YA LA
  25. It's seemed like every small bounce has gone the Lakers way tonight. Their shots on the rim are rolling in, ours are bouncing out. The loose balls are falling their way, not ours. I really think this game shouldn't be this close right now..
