the bullpen cost us that game, and not renteria..dinardo should not have been brought in a tight spot.

assuming schilling does, well....seems the plan was to wait for foulke, now we are moving schilling to the rotation? I guess it changes--frankly, we need our starting pitching to be flawless becuase our bullpen is f***ing bad.

i think papelbon is slated to start a few more times, though.

you might want to wait to see if he can pitch better as a starter than he has as a closer.

I am hopeful wade comes back to the rotation and helps out. the bullpen sucks and we need starting pitching to save the day, at present we really dont have an ace, and miller seems to have a lot heart and grit and if he's healthy I say give him the ball.

I am cautious too, he has looked absolutely awful on a number of occassions. I also think he is running the team and becasue he has now ddecided he hates being in the bullpen he wants to start. Francona should just let schilling manage the team , and spare us having to pretend. on top of that what is even more worrisome is just how lousy our bullpen has been lately--what do we have the highest ERA of any bullpen in the AL-PU... and also it concenrs me that we so fair against good pitching. This angel series has finally exposed this team to reality against good competition. and while the average sox fan has been thumping thier chest against weaker competition and preparing themselves to win the division...the reality is this going to be a hard battle against the yankees who continue to play good ball. and ewhile the kids here dismiss the yankees because of their pitching, it has been far bettre than ours and that is uinexcusable. the savoir theory is full of holes, and one or two good innings do nothing that I have seen to give any weight to the salivating of the delusional masses. because their have been some just pathetic outing s by schilling. I hope he does well, but I think it will take a few starts and some hammerings and we doont have games to give away, particualrly against s***** teams.

I disgaree. OC is hitting a measly 253..or so. renteria is hitting, and his defense while error prone hasnt really hurt us. i think nostalgia is making OC seem better than he is... renty is the man, and will be for three more years. i think I saw everyone's hero hanely has 20 some errors and yet you all fawn all over him...it doesnt cost us games so really what is the big friggin deal...the hitting is consistent.. I like him.
