  1. bounced around???...come on...he was on the DL for a long time, he made rehab starts...he got shelled as reliver and he is getting slaughtered as a starter. you'll have find something better than being bounced around. IMO
  2. spetmeber in a pennant race isnt time for the team to be letting a guy work on arm stregnth thats for f***ing sure.
  3. no one up in the bullpen..unbelievable.
  4. bingo...a regular off season..this seasn just isnt going to be there for him. but no one in the organization has the balls to tell him..
  5. let me repeat the devil rays and the royals have conducted batting practice. meanwhile in other news: olerud goes 3 for 4 and then millar gets the start. huh?
  6. this is awful..but this is what you would expect. He has been like this for ahwile with no improvement or zip. what a disaster. I think they should take him out now.
  7. I think he looks as s***** as he did when he was closing..no zip...with no signs since he came back of improving..he is getting creamed.
  8. great line "a change of careers". his AAA numbers suck, he sucks and that qualifies him to be a yankee. because the yankees suck. so much for the fenway ban.
  9. I agree about his speed, the problem is that his locationthis year was off too and I dont know if that's a knee or arm issue, and I hope it has been resolved..if not an 86 mph fast ball or a 90+mph fastball like alan embree's down the middle leaves that the ballpark at 100.
  10. ineffective outings against class A players..certainly I can see why you would say he'll be fine soon enough. Delusional thinking and spin knows no boundries. One can hope, and I do, that he'll improve but to say that there is something positive about these outings doesnt appear to ahve any basis in reality.
  11. great ? some better offensive stats than say the yankees but not a better hitting team than ours. I wouldnt say the rays are great at anything except being a pain in the ass at the wrong time.
  12. that was one of the most intelligent posts I have read on here, ever... buckle up boys this is going to be long ride, but fun as hell.. .
  13. talk about taking one for the team.
  14. tek is the man, there is no question. I respect him to no end, and would never criticize him, and he is agreat captain. But he isnt objective and while I dont blame him for that at all, i also know these guys have all been through some great times, and probably some awful times together as a team, and have loyality to each other that we cant know about. I saw what tito said about remlinger, though and these guys stick together no matter how s***** they preform.....and no player likes to hear a teammate booed but millar is nothing but a huge fat f***ing stiff should be booed, loudly and often.... tek or no tek..if he is so f***ing important in the clubhouse he can be bat boy but not a player.
  15. no he doesnt... he is a loyal guy though. quality at bats is code for a lot of foul balls and ultimately an out. measly little singles from millar is insane and even if it were true because they are so rare it is a waste.. I wouldnt expect any player to be objective. he sucks plain and simple and there is nothing anyone other than tek et al on the team can say to justify this fat ass taking up a roster spot for a "single" minute more.
  16. This guy is the biggest f***ing joke in the majors. *******. he ought to be smoking a joint, and maybe some hitting lessons. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO from the globe: In his latest quest to get his slumping bat going, first baseman Kevin Millar lit a cigarette in the clubhouse before Sunday's game, even taking a puff or two. "Rally cigarette," howled Millar, who is not a smoker.
  17. WHY MILLAR??? i THOUGHT HE WAS BENCHED HE HAS SAT OUT ONE GAME SINCE THAT WAS SAID. FRANCona is an *******.
  18. TITO IS A f***ING MORON. WHY THE f*** IS MILLAR IN THE LINE UP TODAY. I AM SICK OF THIS s***. IT MAKES NO SENSE. FRANCONA SHOULD BE FIRED TODAY, i SWEAR TO GOD MILLAR MUST BE BLACK MAILING HIM. f***.
  19. thank god. terry should be fined for even using him, but now luckily he wont have a choice.
  20. patience is not a strategy. It's a death wish. ask bush...stay the course, is asinine when the course is wrong. It's almost september when are you supposed to become impatient in October while watching other teams in the playoffs. while you screw balls sit around and s*** on the yankees and start polls about the wild card as though we have the divison all wrapped up. we are now 1.5 games ahead having just come off losing a series to the royals. the royals.the royals. what does it take to create a ripple of concern with you people. Igornance is bliss I know, but come on--your solution is patience..?
  21. I'm not going to even mention last night's game, because I am no mood to start the "you're so negative" , you're not a fan if you arent blind and loyal debate. so I'll focus my wrath not so much on last night but on two clods that I find to be useless. The simple fact is that kevin millar is a big fat no good stiff, and while that is beyond reproach --the bigger stiff is the person in charge of playing someone that bad. There comes a time when there has to be accountabilitiy. Why would this guy be allowed on the field when he does absolutely nothing. I like francona but every time he puts millar on the field that is grounds for dismissial. remlinger made alan embree look like rollie fingers.
  22. "By 6 p.m., the event had topped last year's total. Phone lines were to until midnight. Dozens of celebrities called in, including both Kerry and fellow U.S. Sen. Edward M.Kennedy; Clemens, the Houston pitcher who made frequent visits to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute while with the Red Sox; and Steinbrenner, the New York Yankees owner who has helped out each of the telethon's three years." even I have to admit that george and roger deserve a tip of my redsox hat. very classy, respectful and cool, that they would do this for the jimmy fund. I think that is great.. good job george, roger and every one else...
  23. Talk about balls. sorry couldnt resist.
