  1. Who'd we get for him anyway?
  2. Actually it feels good to have the guy off our team, I'm still keeping it, because he does blow.
  3. I don't believe Pedro being a babied is a false accuastion
  4. Ryan pitched 27 years in his career, so what if you only put the numbers in his hayday? By the time Pedro is done, you won't be having this arguement. He's no longer a top flite pitcher in the game..
  5. Lambeau, and Pro Player (so f***ing hot) Basketball would be Duke
  6. To the person who said Nolan Ryan was overrated HE HAS 1700 more SO then any other pitcher. Overrated? Hardly. To the people who believe Pedro was the most dominating pitcher of all time Incorrect, Pedro is a unbelivable pitcher, but he isn't Bob Gibson, Sandy Koufax, or Walter Johnson. Baseball is more than stats, it's about scrappiness, and toughness, people who battle 100%. Pedro was definatly not one of these guys. Pedro or Gibson I'll examine Gibson pitched a CG 2 hitter against the Sox in game 7 on two days rest. Pretty good huh? Now factor in that he did it with a broken leg, won more than 300 games, and threw a 102 MPH fastball, was beloved by all his teammates and all of St. Louis. Pedro has never gone on 2 days rest, he benifets greatly due to the nowadays pussy pitcher. He goes on 5 days rest everyday, and is an injury prone, pampered superstar. If I were to have a team to go win I wouldn't Pedro on it, even on his hayday. A guy who abanoded his team during Game 6 of the ALCS this year. Pedro is a dominant pitcher but the best ever? No, not even close.
  7. 2)Wells doesnt stay in any shape whatsoever? Your basing this on what he did 5 to 10 years ago? Wells has lost nearly 20 pounds since 2003, when he signed with the Yankees, and he had back surgery in '02, he'll be fine. He did not miss a start due to his back, he missed those 4 due to his bad hand. Wellsy, should be 16-5 with probably around a 3.75 ERA
  8. True, but he has come close do doing it, and he did it in a pitchers park of Kaufmann stadium. In 2003 Carlos Beltran hit .307 posted a OBP of .389 walked 72 times and struck out only 81 times. His OBPS was .911. As a 25 year old. He may not be worth 20 million because no one is worth that, but you can't say he's overrated
  9. Not funny You notice that this board has gotten more post since these people have been on?
  10. Lets not forget Brown's ERA pre back injury 3.59 before 6-1 before 5.12 after 4-5 after
  11. Uh Arroyo's era was 4
  12. What do you think of his 1.71 ERA in the Mexican league? Does that mean he can pitch?
  13. Haren is good, and Calero is good too. I don't know too much about them, maybe Zenny can enlighten us.
  14. Pavano played in a "baseball" stadium in Pro Player. Clement at the friendly confines of Wrigly field. Wrigley = more runs Pro Player = lot less runs At Fenway the Green Monster kills lefthanders, but Death Valley is a far way from home plate At Yankee Stadium that left field corner is going to look really small when Pavano pitches. Clement misses more bats which will help him out a lot in the AL Pavano is a fly ball pitcher Advantege Clement
  15. Leo Mazanno's pet project Look at Glavine, Millwood, Hammond as soon as they leave Mazoneo.
  16. Zenny is godlike when it comes to baseball. Don't make the same mistake Odysseus made.
  17. anyone who says he's overrated doesn't have a clue what their talking about.
  18. Added Halama Mantei Renteria Clement Wells Lost Caberra Williamson Pedro Lowe Renteria > Caberra Wells Clement > Lowe Mantei > Williamson (he won't pitch this year)
  19. NO MORE I'm done with school till Jan 4th, then we can start harassing about spelling
  20. English 101? OR Red Sox discussion board? And please yeszir get rid of these :harhar:
  21. Their dumbasses because they didn't tell you a pitcher, you didn't know? Whatever Anyway Ishii is a wild lefty with no control. He walked 100 batters in 150 IP last year. He also was hit in the face by a baseball.
  22. Beltre would have hit 55 HR's at Fenway, not only that he hit 23 HR's at Dodger Stadium, he's got a good bat, and is excellent defensivly at 3rd. He laid an egg in the postseason though, as did Drew. Even still I'd go with Beltre and Drew.
  23. I love Pedro, but f*** Nomar
  24. But you won't go anywhere w/o hitting the ball, and the offense couldn't touch the ball last year. See the 2003 Dodgers
