  1. Sometimes people fall in love with stats too much, don't even come close to comparing Manny to Beltran out there. Beltran prevents more runs then Manny. Beltran will probably become the next 40-40 guy, he's clutch, and he can steal bases. He can bat 1st or 9th if you want him to. Above Average hitter! He'd hit 50 HR's at fenway.
  2. Beltran his 38 HR's last year, he stole 42 SB, has an excellent glove in the field, hits for a consitant average, and he murdered pitchers in the postseason. So he's overrated how?
  3. Not yet http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1947995
  4. If you wouldn't do exactly what Pedro did then your a f***ing liar, he was playing the market and got what he wanted. Greed is actually a good thing, Pedro got his extra year and 12 million more dollars. Good Luck Pedro! We'll miss you
  5. D-backs got ripped
  6. http://www.newsday.com/sports/ny-sprandy12...ports-headlines
  7. They were dismantled by injuries. They'll be good next year. If Glaus doesn't go down.
  8. I believe the Unit is ready to accept a deal to the South Side, http://www.benmaller.com it's in their somewhere. The Chi Sox have more to offer then the Yankees Little League farm system And no, the White Sox do not want Vazquez.
  9. How are the Yankees going to pull of a trade for Johnson? The D-backs don't want to deal to the Yankees.
  10. Not a chance we land this guy
  11. I loved it when he got into a jawing war with Bernie Williams, then struck him out the very next pitch.
  12. He makes consistent contact, which explains his low OBP.
  13. Thanks, Pedro. Thanks for 1999 and 2000. The two best seasons I've ever seen pitched. Thanks for 2002 and 2003, two other exceptional years. And 1998, too. Thanks for piling up the strikeouts. Thanks for that awesome changeup, that hard roundhouse curve, and that wonderful fastball. Thanks for twirling around in the air swinging your leg around on a 2-strike pitch - it reminded me of Bob Gibson. Thanks for working quickly. Thanks for the jheri curl and the loose cannon mouth that made me laugh more than once. Thanks for hanging out with Ted Williams after the All Star Game. Thanks for coming out in Game 7 and pitching. Even if you didn't pitch well, it showed balls to the Yankees that many men would never attempt. Thanks for all the wonderful playoff games you pitched. Game 5 in 1999. Game 3 in 1999. Game 5 in 2003. Game 2 of 2004 (ALDS). Game 3 of 2004.
  14. Polanco hit in a wiffle ball park last year, Renteria was in a pitcher's park. Renteria has post season expirence, Polanco has none. Renteria is better with the glove then Polanco is.
  15. Why would we trade for prospects? This team is coming off a World Series run, and Phelps isn't that great anyway.
  16. I think the Yankees will bend his ass over and well let's not get into that
  17. Well can't fault the man for looking for "respect" best of luck Pedro, he better own the Yankees twice.
  18. Hell will likely freeze before Sox allow that thing Astacio to pitch for Boston 1. Schilling 2. Wells 3. Arroyo 4. Wakefield 5. Burnett??? Lowe???
  19. Let's put the Renteria talks to rest, it appears likely, he will come back to the Cardinals.
  20. I think we should get Lugo, but that assult case scares me a little. Then again, people deserve second chances, and Lugo is a good ball player. So let's take a shot at him
  21. funny article
  22. 7-7 Tie game against the Chargers I think the NFL should put the Bucs in the playoffs if they beat the Chargers. The Bucs are probably the only team to beat an AFC football team.
  23. I guess I could particapate in it.
  24. I've got total faith in Theo, he's lead us to a world series. If he thinks Renteria is a good fit, then by all means, he'll probably be a good fit. Sure people make mistakes, but Theo is Theo, I always think he'll get us there.
