  1. Lefties have hit .147 off Lopez so far during the AAA season. Breslow's at .200 but he doesn't have a whole lot of control. Anyone who saw Morneau and Kubel tee off on the Red Sox should understand this move.
  2. The 2004 Boston Red Sox ring a bell?
  3. Beane will trade him, it's just a matter if he gets what he wants.
  4. Wells isn't coming off surgery. Just a bruise. He shouldn't show any major complications from that.
  5. Who else? The Red Sox have no other options. Maybe you give Alvarez a start, but what do you do when he has a bad start? Not worth rushing Lester, just because the Red Sox lost two games in a row. You guys make it look like we're 8 1/2 back of the Yankees. The Red Sox have four decent starters in Wells, Schilling, Wakefield, and Beckett. Tread water until you're able to get your team back together. The Yankees aren't good enough to run away with this division.
  6. Wells, and Clement. Lester isn't ready. He needs at least another month of AAA ball.
  7. The Diamondback have options (Dustin Nippert) the Red Sox, do not.
  8. It doesn't matter what order your bullpen is in. If your starting pitcher can't get into the 4th inning without walking six batters, it really doesn't matter.
  9. Bitch, who jacks up post counts by whining and complaning about every ball thrown by a Red Sox pitcher, strike taken by a Red Sox batter, and labeling Alex Rodriguez a choke artist for grounding out to the pitcher in the top of the first inning with a runner on 1st.
  10. George Knox: I gotta take him out Roger: No ya gotta leave him in Ya just gotta believe http://www.boyacts.com/babin/moviepics/337.jpg http://www.boyacts.com/babin/actorpics/330.jpg J.P.: Yeah It could happen!
  11. Youkilis will be leading off tonight.
  12. He's a moron, anyway. (Just in case this was taken wrong, I was refering to Larry the Cable Guy) Git-R-done? Larry the Cable Guy isn't funny, and he isn't from the Southeast. Of course, people who sterotype are often this dumb.
  13. Not happening. He was asked why the Red Sox were on his no-trade list, and he said he would play for the Red Sox.
  14. New Jersey is from the Eastern Conference, and they won it four years ago. Nine of the last fifteen Stanley Cups belong in the Eastern Conference. The Southeast Division sucked for a long time because it was loaded with expansion teams. We get a pass, no?
  15. Because, Delcarmen doesn't have a save in his career? His ERA is higher then Tavarez?
  16. I'd go with Riske. Oops, spoke to soon. Tavarez should be OK if he doesn't have to throw 50 pitches.
  17. Not really. If David Ortiz can't hit a cutter, what makes you think he's going to be able to hit a cutter any time else? Not to piss on Ortiz' accomplishment on Sunday, but he got an 86 mph fastball in his sweet spot. He should smash a pitch like that.
  18. AHAH! So you conceded that big hits are largely dependent on who is on the mound.
  19. Papi proves that clutch hitting exists?
  20. The Red Sox control the rights of any player new to the major leagues for the first six years. The first three years they receive the minimum, and the next three years they go to arbitration.
  21. They have him to a six year contract already. He'll probably get paid in between 20 and 28 million dollars.
  22. 6.2 IP 3 H 1 ER 13K's. Not bad.
