  1. I'll do this without being demeaning. What do you offer for Dontrelle Willis, that can't be beat by another team?
  2. The Red Sox org. hate their fans just because the have a prospect pitching tonight. I bet you didn't know that.
  3. Yeah, I'll have to take you up on that. I do have that disease called Tourette Syndrome.
  4. Guardians lineup against Beckett: 1. CF Grady Sizemore 2. LF Jason Micheals 3. SS Jhonny Peralta 4. DH Travis Hafner 5. C Victor Martinez 6. 1B Ben Broussard 7. 2B Ronnie Belliard 8. 3B Aaron Boone 9. RF Casey Black Against Johnson 1. Sizemore, CF 2. Michaels, LF 3. Hafner, DH 4. Martinez, C 5. Perez, E, RF 6. Belliard, 2B 7. Broussard, 1B 8. Peralta, SS 9. Boone, 3B Only Blake/Perez are different here. They platoon anyway. Just because you don't happen to recognize the Guardians batters, doesn't mean they suck. In conclusion, you're an idiot. The Guardians have had a talented lineup for the last two years. Sizemore, Hafner, and Martinez are elite hitters. Johnson pitched very well in that game, but you have some phobia against the Yankees, it accelerates a disease called "dumbassitis," you're severely afflicted by this.
  5. Why should I address your argument? Not worth my time. The Guardians are third in runs scored, and that starting lineups has been the same all year. How hard is that to comprehend?
  6. Eh... We'll be OK. Too talented a team to play like this.
  7. Whiner-Line fodder?
  8. He got Kubel out. No one's been able to do that.
  9. Your point still stands though. Nathan's a good reliever, and coming back off him should be hard.
  10. Cotts, McCarthy, and Thorton aren't bad. I agree, they aren't all that impressive, but they aren't bad.
  11. Youkilis or Loretta get on base quite a few times. It's not out of the realm of possiblity that Ortiz comes up with baserunners on.
  12. As did you. Everyone read the bolded part. That's the biggest emphasis of Moneyball.
  13. It's a good trade for both teams. The White Sox get another piece to add to their already impressive bullpen, and the Red Sox get someone who can get lefties out.
  14. How has Kobe make one team? Kobe averages 35 points per game. Assuming the other players just stand there and watch, Team Kobe would go 0-82.
  15. I am. As long as people aren't hurting each other, I don't give a s*** what people do to themselves. Making heroin illegal is more dangerous then making it legal. Just think about the unintended consenquences. Gangs, corrupt police, kids get involved, the money that the drugs bring in make gangs incredibly powerful, and extremely attractive for an attempt to make money. Our laws have made cocaine more valuable then gold. The drug war is successful?
  16. I have one. It's called Most Valuable Poster. Kidding aside, I don't care enough to ask for one. It really doesn't bother me. I don't know why it bother anyone else.
  17. We'd still have one more out to do something. :dunno:
  18. we sux im roting for da mets
  19. I'm sure you were entertained when McGwire launched his 62nd HR into the left field fence at Busch Stadium. Hell, I know I was. It's the reason I became a baseball fan. The players want to take steriods, why should we punish them? It's their bodies, why should we interfere what they want to put into them? I'm tired of people complaining about greedy athletes. The fans don't care, that's why the keep going to the ballpark in droves. May I ask, if you've ever turned down a raise?
  20. Thanks. So that makes that 450 more homers then riverside. Again, Manny Ramirez knows how to hit a baseball. He's hit two screaming line drivers that the Twins robbed. Bad luck happens.
  21. I'm sure Manny Ramriez needs advice on how to hit pitches from you. What's the guy got, about 400 HR's? That's about 400 more than you? Am I close?
  22. How much do they charge you? $10-$20 dollars? That sounds pretty fair, considering it cost up to $100 dollars for the same card on E-Bay. You have to wait in line? Not bad, but you actually get to meet the players, and watch them sign it right in front of you. http://www.tristarproductions.com/shows/NE606/index.htm Here's the link. It's actually 8 dollars, and the players don't charge extra for fees. s***. Eight dollars? Sounds like a great deal to me.
  23. Again, you have no clue what the concept of Moneyball is. The A's will send runners if they can run, but they severely limit those who they can send. The Red Sox sent Roberts to second, because he is arguably one of the best base stealers in the game, and against Mariano Rivera? Chances are, you're not going to get a lot of chances. I have no doubt in my mind that Macha would have sent Roberts had it been him in the Red Sox dugout. The Red Sox were playing for ONE run, not a whole bunch. It's not like it's 2-0 New York in the second inning. Read the book first.
  24. If you haven't read the book, don't comment on it.
