  1. Maybe you get rid of Tavarez, but if you get rid of both who do you turn to? JVB is worse than both Tavarez and Seanez. Hansen can only replace one.
  2. There's no coincidence. It's just this paranoia everyone has about thrusting young pitchers in at big spots. Ankiel's main problem was the alteration of his delievery, which led to irrepairable control problems. Not failing in the NLCS.
  3. That's an incorrect statement. Ankiel was ruined because he forgot what a strike was.
  4. Maybe Meredith wasn't that good?
  5. No, that was an absolute great piece of hitting. He hit a low away slider to left field. That was on Franceour, not Seanez.
  6. I'd go with Timlin to get four outs.
  7. Apparently, you haven't.
  8. Unless Schilling can get a 1-2-3 inning, Smoltz won't be out for the 6th.
  9. What? I'm sure you meant the same Herm Edwards who helped built the monster Buccaneer defense, or the Edwards who brought them to the playoffs all those years. I'm not selling the Pats short, you're just overrating them.
  10. How is it laughable? The Patriots defense is below average. Besides, what is an easy schedule in the NFL? The Chiefs defense may just be average, though I do like the additions of Tamba Hali, and Polliard, their offense will simply murder everything. The Chiefs don't have recievers? Didn't stop Trent Green for throwing for over 4,000 yards. Oh, and the best RB in the NFL resides in KC.
  11. Submarine relievers aren't bad. Bradford, Myers?
  12. I got the Patriots missing out. With the Chiefs and Steelers taking the Wild Card. Though, my team isn't looking too good. Why the hell does the schedule maker have the Bucs playing three AFC North teams in December? All on the road I might add. I'll be happy with a 9-7 record, and TO breaking his ankle week one. Sorry for the rant. Back on topic, Patriots finish 8-8 or 9-7, no playoffs.
  13. Matter of time. They shouldn't move this guy for ANYONE. Unless that guy happens to be Felix Hernandez.
  14. He'll be back for the first game of the season. He's already way ahead of his rehab schedule.
  15. Dolphins > Patriots.
  16. The Phillies are in total disarray. The Yankees should win at least two out of three. Though, the Moose could have a difficult start in that band box.
  17. I don't think he knows how.
  18. How effective do you expect Dotel to be? He's coming off Tommy John surgery, and would probably be best off being eased back into the bullpen. With Torre? Dotel may not last one week.
  19. I don't know. All his years have been with the Atlanta Braves. Do they grant 10-5 NTC to player's who have been with the same orgainzation?
  20. Does Smoltz have a no trade clause?
  21. No. You probably have to go out and grab a relief pitcher or two. If Villone's a pitcher you're using in the eight inning, then you have serious bullpen problems. (Not that Taverez is much better)
  22. Rivera and Farnsworth are the Yankees only two capable bullpen pitchers. Bean doesn't project to anything except middle relief fodder. He's a 25 year old pitching in Trenton, earlier this year. His stuff doesn't really wow you either. Fastball doesn't have much movement, not much velocity either. Villone is overrated. He's due for a major fall off in the next half. His WHIP is residing at 1.32, and his ERA is at 1.65. That's luck. Same with Matt Smith. Though, I don't know how highly rated he is. Myers gets one batter, then he's done. The Yankees and Red Sox bullpens are both extremely fragile at the current time.
  23. ..... I'm done. You don't seem to get it.
