    Doesn't he have a NTC? I'd think he'd rather retire then pitch for the Cardinals.

    The Cubs are terrible. They got rid of Walker, which is the only player that has any OBP skills at all, and Dusty insists on batting Neifi Perez second everyday. Can anyone tell me why Dusty Baker SHOULDN'T be fired?

    You are 100% correct. I think, don't quote me on this, but he is the MLB leader in lowest LD%. When batters make contact it usually isn't hard.

    If Wang can get away with not striking anyone out in the AL, Webb would probably be fine making the transition. I'd say Webb's a low 3.00 ERA pitcher in the AL East. Wang's good, but c'mon, Brandon Webb? I'd say Derek Lowe.

    I think the Webb comparision is a little off base. Wang - 3.77 ERA Webb - 2.74 ERA Wang - 9.53 H/9 Webb - 8.66 H/9 Wang - 2.74 K/9 Webb - 6.72 K/9 Wang - 1.27 WHIP Webb - 1.14 WHIP The kid's a good #3 or #4, but he isn't dominant by any stretch of the imagination.

    Perez is still at 91-93 mph. I've never once seen him consistently hit 98 mph, he probably touched it a few times, but he was probably consistently at 94-96 mph. That's about a 3-5 mph drop in the fastball. His release point was lower in 2004. Now he's more over the top. I don't know why the Bucs f***ed with it, but they are the Bucs remember.

    Corky Miller sucks. No doubt about that. However, someone has to be back there or the ball will simply just roll to the backstop. (Which actually could be a better option then Miller)

    I don't think the sole reason Ortiz was brought in, because Pedro told Epstein to do that. The 2003 Red Sox did not have a quality 1B at the time of the deal, so they brought in Giambi, Millar, and Ortiz. Two of them would fill the 1B/DH holes.

    I don't know about any of you, but Landis looked really unconvincing on that podium. Of course, within a day, he's got synthetic testosterone found. Color me not-surprised.
