    I don’t give a rat’s ass about Timlin’s comments to the media. What I do care about is Tito’s insistence to continue to bring him out in close games that are winnable and ignoring the fact that he’s been downright awful this month. Until Tito realizes he just isn’t that setup guy he was a couple of years ago, I blame these recent losses, where Timlin has blown the game, more on Tito than the pitcher.

    I rarely bash Tito directly, but to automtaically bring Timlin in the 8th inning of any close game where the team isn’t behind is really not good managing.

    There’s no doubt that the M’s scouting report on Coco must state that he has no arm and to challenge him every time the possibility allows. I’m hoping at some point his bat starts to heat up (he did hit a HR tonight), but I don’t ever see him being labeled as a good outfielder. He reminds me of a gifted athlete who’s trying to be a baseball player, but still looks uncomfortable.

    Memo to Tito: For the betterment of the Sox please do not use Timlin in any close games. Since the ASB he has done almost nothing to show that he’s worthy of being used in these situations. His pitches have become flat with no movement. How many more games where the team has the lead are you going to let him piss away? Burying your head in the sand does not make this glaring problem go away.

    Remember when we were waiting for Wells to come back from the DL and the notion was if he’s at all effective then the Sox will have a decent chance in the second half of the season. Okay, he’s back and pitching great, but now there are so many other holes in the team. What else can you say but “s***“.

    I’m not sure about the status of Youk, but if he is expected to be out of the lineup for any length of time why not call up Carlos Pena and give him a shot?

    After I saw the s***** lineup that was posted last night I knew the chances were slim to none the Sox would pull off the win. I never thought the defense would be as bad as what we saw. With all the injuries and talk the even WMP may be hurt, I don’t see much of an improvement tonight either. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if this turns into Seattle sweep.
