  1. Took the day off. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
  2. What "restraint"???? He got hit, got the ball and THEN WENT AFTER THE FAN. Then he thought enough to throw the ball in. After he did that, HE WENT AFTER THE FAN AGAIN. It was his mates that held him back. I don't get this whole composure ******** you guys are talking about. Sheff is going to be suspended for what he did.
  3. And Well's started. Who'd a thought????
  4. Good post. I'd still love to buy that guy in the stands a beer. But back to the thread. I agree with almost everything you say, but there are the obvious problems. First, I'd have LOVED to see that pussy Sheffield go into the stands. He'd be torn to pieces. I don’t like him and he is a member of the enemy. But in today's world there would be lawsuits and legal action. People would be shouting out about how it hurts the children. Blah blah blah. Stuff like last night doesn't really happen too often. I almost wish it did sometimes, just to let these dumbass 12 million dollar athletes realize they are not gods. And a good knuckle sandwich sometimes drives that point home. And anyone who says they "respect" Sheffield more now because he “showed restraint” (only taking one punch at the guy and being held up on his second attempt) is a pussy.
  5. Wow. I wonder what the O's will think. I think they should trade him to Japan!
  6. Well, I don't own a crappy computer.
  7. So I have one arm, no legs, the crappiest computer ever and I wear a fez?
  8. I think they started off 15-6 last year... Wells is the worry spot for me as well. He's just been unimpressive. He even looks like he doesn't care that much. I think he will be held on a short leash if for no other reason, he used to be a Yankee. Bellhorn's been K-ing at a crazy rate and the Renteria double plays are killing me, but I'm not worried about the offense. I think for me that yesterday and tomorrow, with Schilling coming back, marks the end of last season and the real start of this season.
  9. This is the longest morning of my life.
  10. It’s funny how you lose perspective. Irving will actually have better seats for the game in his own home. I pay close to $250 a year just to watch the Sox from where I live, and I’m not even sure I’ll get to see the rings handed out…. Just this week I convinced a friend of mine to take his wife up to Boston to see a Braves game at Fenway next month and hang out on Cape Cod. I found him seats to the game on Ebay. They are really good seats for the price. Two seats together (I guess that’s a big thing nowadays), first base side, on a line with the third base line about 30 rows up for only $300. I told him he wasn’t going to find a better deal anywhere but he was shocked at the price. To me, it seemed like a good deal. But he had to convince his wife so they turned it into their anniversary vacation. A week’s vacation on Cape Cod, probably Martha’s Vinyard, and the most expensive thing they’ll do that week is see Fenway for the first (and probably only) time. Pretty sad, really. Baseball is starting to lose me.
  11. So who goes to the pen when Schill and Miller come back?
  12. Those scoreboards are stupid, ugly and dangerous. Someone's going to get seriously hurt running into one of them. Also, who had the bright idea of handing out paper airplanes to people sitting in the upper deck???
  13. Totally agree, but he's a dick so f*** him. If he doesn't want to be there or have a ring, fine. f*** him.
  14. Hell yeah, BIG ovation for Lowe. I already miss the big lug. I hear Leskanik will be there too. Pedro can suck it. f*** him. Where's Roberts?
  15. No, actually, he got the job done. It was ugly, but he got it done. Give the guy some slack for Christ sake.
  16. Yeah, Johnson wasn't dominant in that start. But we are talking about Fruit Bat, not RJ.
  17. Really, it's been a train wreck out there. They looked at yesterday as a small victory for Boston and today as a total catastrophe. It's great. It's like we won the series.
  18. http://boards.yesnetwork.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37193 "Who's your daddy?" for Mo at the Fens? f*** yeah. For Petey.
  19. We have to remember the Sox are on the road. All these guys play better at Fenway - that's part of Theo's plan. Wait until next week to pass judgement on any of them. I really look forward to seeing Rivera pitch at this lineup at Fenway.
  20. That is so stupid. They should just let these guys in - or better yet, get rid of the union.
  21. http://forums.netsports.com/images/smilies/nod1.gif I say a month though..
  22. One thing to take away from yesterday's game is that, although Johnson pitched extremely well, he was not dominant. He's going to have his troubles with this Boston lineup because they don't strike out very much (outside of Bellhorn
  23. A pretty forgettable day most years, I guess Dwight Evans hitting the very first pitch of the 1986 season for a HR in Detroit. That was pretty cool.
