  1. Stop characterizing all Yankee fans together. Fans have a right to be upset that their team didn't win this year. They should have, they had a very good team and a 3-0 lead in the ALCS. History has nothing to do with it. Yankee fans should be upset with the loss, there's no excuse for it. No reason to sit back and say "Well we've got 26 Championships, it's ok to lose this year." That's ridiculous. Don't say we've got "gaul" for being pissed at the team's performance over the last 4 games of the year.
  2. Yankees > Red Sox in this rivalry still. This offseason's gonna be nuts, Steiny's gonna explode. I can't wait to see it, and this is from a Yankee fan. Hopefully it means he puts a really, really, really good team on the field.
  3. From the biggest Yankee fan I know, congratulations to all of y'all Sox fans. You stuck it out, you earned this World Title. I mentioned on another message board that when they recorded that last out, I couldn't help but smile. I know a lot of Sox fans that aren't jerks about it, just simply ecstatic. I saw that raw happiness, I can't help but enjoy seeing it. Congratulations Boston Red Sox, the Curse is over. Go and enjoy it, as a lifelong NY Ranger fan, it is definitely the greatest feeling in the world.
  4. I'm sure they've won 4 straight before, but 4 straight against this Yankee team, the way they're playing right now, is quite unlikely. However, I admire your steadfastedness and loyalty, keep the faith. I know the Sox aren't out of it til it's over.
  5. Cuz your still worse worse Really, the Yankees have been getting outstanding pitching from their starters. Everybody has been sleeping on their starters (they need Clemens, Pettitte and Wells!!!) but Moose, Lieber and Brown have been amazing so far this playoffs. Schilling's injury was killer for the Sox, it has kind of set the tone for the series. Also, Mariano Rivera continues to prove why he's the AL MVP. Without Rivera, it is quite possible the Sox would be up 2-0. The Red Sox came into this series as the favorites in Vegas, and now are staring an 0-2 hole in the face, with Kevin Brown opposing them. They're gonna need a hell of a game Friday night.
  6. Yeah they were tired from cheering all game.
  7. "If Pedro wasn't walking and hitting everyone this would be a 0-0 game." Yeah and if my grandma had balls she'd be my grandpa. Stop complaining about Yankee fans chanting, everyone's fans do it.
  8. Whew, Pedro's throwin' gas. Yankees'll need an A game tonight.
  9. You guys have to win today. HAVE to win today. I'm not sold on Pedro's stuff, but you better pray he's got it. Down 2-0 with "Brandon" Arroyo and Wake will be problems for the Soxes. Go Liebs!!!
  10. Damn, I was hoping to face Lowe. He really sucks big time. Arroyo has looked real good against the Bombers, and you never know what you'll get with Wakefield. I think we have the best chance against Pedro. He's simply been below average this month.
  11. Wow, reading that guys posts were painful. For a team that has the worst pitching staff in baseball, they sure have a good record, don't they? I'm really looking forward to Brown's start today, if he pitches well we'll actually have a rotation in October that will be a force.
  12. Watch out for those pesky New York Jets . I can't wait until the Jets get the chance to knock off those Mighty Pats.
  13. I agree it doesn't make a difference whether or not he's gay. That said, I think he is.
  14. Makes the Jets into the Playoffs that much easier.
  15. That's why they play the game. Who saw the Lakers losing? The Jets will be over .500 and should make the post season.
  16. Barring major injury, the Jets have a pretty good shot this year. Don't dismiss them. ..1918 (sorry but Hoss started it)
  17. Yes, Giant fans are idiots. (J-E-T-S, Jets Jets Jets!!!)
  18. I thought that was ball 4, but with 2 strikes you have to try to foul off anything close. Tough way to lose a game, I would pissed.
  19. See this is my problem. A lot of Yankee fans are like that, but not all of us. I think I can have a good intelligent discussion about baseball, without yelling about how Tino and Knoblauch are still the best right side of the infield in baseball. People who say that Andy Pennant is the best pitcher on the team annoy me more than they annoy you, because they set a bad precedent for the rest of us. Just try to realize that we are not all that dumb
  20. Giambi will not cost the AL the game, because Torre will play him like 1 inning and bring in Ortiz, hopefully. I don't see him being capable of playing very long regardless.
  21. I have faith in my Yankees.. I mean American League
  22. Yankees Lightning Panthers (I can't bring myself to say Patriots) Pistons JUST KIDDING! Yanks Rangers Jets Knicks I've been through a lot of suffering with my last 3 teams (thank God for '94!), so don't call me one of those front running Yankee fans.
  23. Chill buddy. I could have talked a lot more s*** about the Red Sox overall right now, but I spared you that. I understand you are bitter about the fact you just got swept by the Yankees, so I won't be too hard on you. But I'd like to see you go up there and get hit twice and not be pissed off. Especially because they were both definitely intentional. Say all you want about the Yankees being whiners or overpaid crybabies, but they proved last night they are a team, somthing Boston is very far from right now. And trust me, I'll be here when Mariano records the last out in October baseball.
