  1. Pitched a perfect inning of relief! With a strikeout!
  2. I've been seeing all these articles that say how much the Sox have missed Mueller and how great it'll be to have him back next weekend. Well guess what...Youki has reached base in 21 of his 22 games this season. He's also posted 12 RBI and score 18 runs in that time. What's gonna happen to Kevin Youkilis when Mueller comes back? Who gets sent down when Trot gets back (Dominique was sent down today when Williamson was recalled.) How about when Mendoza returns? Or Kim? The Sox have some serious trade bait with all their depth, and I think they need to take advantage. (not with youki, but with Mueller, and all their s***** pitchers who others think are good, like Kim...and yeszir, kim will be good in a few years, but now is when we need good.) Hopefully my rant could be followed.
  3. Lowe only gave up 2 earned runs in his last start...and got the win. Let's see if he can do it again. Don't blow Lowe!
  4. Haha yeah, that was a long time ago. His mouth was always friggin moving.
  5. The Manny/Ortiz connection. Gotta love it. 3-1 sox.
  6. Y'know, Pokey doesn't produce much offensively, but when he does...it's kinda nice.
  7. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-i...ov=ap&type=lgns Stupid wench.
  8. That's actually not too bad of a lineup.
  9. Not necessarily - but a 2.5 hour rain delay is.
  10. I guess I'd be more than okay if he stayed with the Pats - even with his attitude. He's been a crucial part of the team.

  12. More on the draft - Sox drafted Terry Francona's son in the 40th round, but he's taking his scholarship to Penn instead (good call).
  13. Schilling's on the mound...all is okay again. As long as Dominique is not at first, and Pokey is at second.
  14. So..if i had to choose my favorite National League team, it'd be the Diamondbacks. No particular reason, except for Hillenbrand and RJ. Anyway. I was checking the box score for today's game on Yahoo, and something caught my eye. Arizona S. Hairston 2b 4 1 1 0 0 1 1 .309 S. Finley cf 3 0 2 1 0 1 0 .288 D. Bautista rf 4 1 2 1 0 0 1 .319 L. Gonzalez lf 4 0 2 1 0 1 2 .278 S. Hillenbrand 1b 4 1 2 0 0 0 2 .290 C. Tracy 3b 3 1 1 0 1 0 2 .280 R. Hammock c 4 1 2 2 0 0 1 .248 A. Cintron ss 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 .258 S. Sparks p 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 .095 M. Koplove p 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .000 D. DeVore ph 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 .172 B. Villafuerte p 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .000 R. Choate p 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .000 S. Service p 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .000 C. Baerga ph 1 0 1 1 0 0 0 .114 C. Fossum pr 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 .000 E. Dessens p 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .091 J. Valverde p 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .000 Third to last name on the list. They used PITCHER (former sox pitcher) Casey Fossum as a pinch runner, and he actually scored a run. I can't say I've ever seen that before.
  15. On another note, Johnny's 3-4 with 3 doubles. I'm impressed.
  16. It was D-Lowe's best start since April 29th, when he went 7 IP with 3 Runs.
  17. I think we should've hit Ortiz for Crespo and put him in at SS. How much damage could it possibly do? It's better than Cesar.
  18. Big rally boys, big rally.
  19. Who the hell is this guy? He's almost given up as many walks as Zambrano...how come we can't get any friggin runs?
  20. Derek's retired 8 in a row since the HR.
  21. Oh well. I don't really know what went wrong in the game today...I mean the Sox only used two pitchers, KC used 5, they gave up two runs, we gave up 5. If we can pull anything positive from this game, it's that Mirabelli homered, and Anastacio Martinez did well again. The bad news - we're 3.5 back from the MFY.
  22. Well that's it. The D-Backs traded 6 players to get Richie Sexson, only to have him land on the DL for the season. At least they have some good backup in Hillenbrand - who's been real hot recently. 8 for his last 16, with 2 doubles, a HR, and 5 RBIs. He's also scored 6 runs in that stretch.
  23. I'll tell you - It's like Millar getting a lot of votes. Sox fans are the most devoted fans in the world. So devoted, in fact, that if Crespo was on the ballot, I can all but guarantee you he'd be up there in votes. There are tons of sox fans, all of whom are going to vote for sox players. It so happens that Nomar is on the ballot, so by default, he's getting every boston vote - I think mostly to spite Jeter.
