  1. Bruschi to return WEDNESDAY: Good news, much?
  2. A big congrats, that was really a great series by the ChiSox, and they have legitimately proven that they were the best AL team this year. Those 4 complete games were really something else. It should be a great World Series this year...imagine the Stros pitching versus the ChiSox pitching. Holy cow. Or the ChiSox pitching vs the Cards hitting.
  3. Down with....Wisconsin! eat that. Booyah.
  4. CAUSE IT'S AWESOME. Period. Who wouldn't want to smash s*** with a CONCRETE BASEBALL.
  5. don't forget papelbon in that rotation.
  6. You could try this: Terry Francona c/o Boston Red Sox 4 Yawkey Way Boston, MA 02215 Hopefully that'll help, that's just the general fan mail address I believe. Good luck!
  7. Either that or a titlewave of exhaustion...
  8. What's up with Wade Miller? He's arbitration eligible...will he be healthy? A healthy, effective Wade Miller sounds more promising than another NL to AL pitcher. I am totally anti signing AJ Burnett right now. Pavano mean anything to anyone? Arroyo could certainly still be in the rotation next year, he could be involved the anticipated Huff trade, but don't be surprised to see the Sox go with Johnny Olerud again, or if for some heavenly reason the A's don't pick up Hatteberg's option, there's some underrated talent there. Also, for the bullpen, you can almost guarantee Manny Delcarmen seeing some time there. And Trot Nixon isn't going anywhere. As for Johnny Damon's replacement...Preston Wilson is intriguing, as well as Jacque Jones. Your outfield will have Manny in left, Nixon in right, and Damon's replacement. I don't see Manny getting traded - again, Theo will want comparable production in return, and that's just not easy to find. Alex Cora is under contract for '06, and will be a rock off the bench, and can serve as an alternater with Pedroia, who most likely won't start in the Majors, but will definintely see time there come May-ish. I'm very excited for Youk to see a full season, as much as I love Mueller. Edgar could leadoff, as could Youkilis (OBP purposes, the Sox don't steal anyway). I'd love to see some defensive improvements while sacrificing a bit of offense...after all, Manny, Papi, Nixon, Varitek is a pretty solid group of run producers. If Edgar produces like he's capable of, the Sox can afford a low-end defensive option in center or second base. The important thing to remember is: WHO KNOWS? There are NO guarantees during the winter hot stove. Just remember guys, trust Theo, he will pull us through.
  9. 26-6 is always here, he's turned into quite the classy poster. I believe AlexandertheGreat and Arod(somenumber) have been around. After the Yanks lost, it appeared that the YES boards flooded. I couldn't get on for like an hour. Go ahead and count all the blame threads, kill ARod, kill Joe West, fire everybody threads there are popping up, and how many responses from "intelligent" posters on the site telling the original posters to f*** off cause they're not fans. That site just needs to be shut down. It's wayyy out of control.
  10. Just stay strong, and keep fighting. We'll be pulling for you here.
  11. I watched the post game celebration. I was sad for a few hours, then I remembered a few key things: Papelbon Delcarmen Hansen Lester Sanchez Youkilis Pedroia H Ramirez Then I felt better.
  12. That was one ofthe best top to bottom games I've EVER seen. Stros used 23 of 25 players (Oswalt and Pettitte). Truly amazing.
  13. ROCKETTTTT. To the bottom of the 17th we go.
  14. ROCKETTTT. 2 Ks and a pop out to center. GREAT inning. That third strike to Franco mighta been a tad high...but he got the call. Bottom 16.
  15. GREAT bunt by Clemens, Astros couldn't score...it's ROCKET TIME.
  16. Headed to the bottom 14th. If the 'Stros don't win it here, Clemens could be coming in for his first relief appearance since 1984.
  17. I think it's gotta go to Willis...Carpenter has been awful in September, and Willis has been great the whole year. Clemens has put up great numbers, but the fact is that Willis and Carpenter have both gone much further into games then Roger. And I'm not biased...Roger is my favorite pitcher of all time.
  18. I voted other...Mariano Rivera. I think he's the only one who's been legitmately and consistently good this season...with the exception of week one.
  19. Haha, good call. I don't like him either.
  20. I should have made myself clear. I was just saying that the three of the past four were wild card teams. Or trying to show it, either way.
  21. 2004 Boston 2003 Florida 2002 Anaheim 2001 Arizona Not to be completely off topic...but maybe second place isn't that bad. The World Series hasn't exactly been unkind to second place finishers. Could Olerud have caught that ball? Maybe. It never really helps to be a Monday morning quarterback. Except in the case of Grady. That's different.
  22. I cannot believe how far Manny just hit that ball.
  23. UMMMMMM FIVE HOURS. Pinch me.
  24. I was just gonna say that. He's incredible, and without question the ace of the future. I feel more confident with him on the mound than with anyone else on the team. He's truly something to watch.
