  1. I think we may be overvaluing a great season, and it was great. He does seem, however, to be one of the better young pitchers in the league. Don't compare him to Santana or Schilling until he has another great season, though.
  2. Delgado should have a good season with bats like Cabrera and Lowell behind a leadoff hitter like Pierre.
  3. I think this is a good trade for both sides. Sosa will only help Baltimore's lineup for a few years, and the Cubs acheived what they have been hoping to for a while. It may not make the Cubs a better team in 2005, but it will allow them to improve in the near future.
  4. Tomori is a great signing. I can't see us paying very much for a Japanese import, even though he has plenty of upside. I see him helping our bullpen for a few years.
  5. Personally, I liked the day game red uniforms. I thought they were different and eye catching.
  6. I own it, haven't watched it all through yet, but they do a very good job.
  7. His other avatar was freaking Ali G. Did you miss that one?
  8. The only person who MIGHT be upset about this is CrespoBlows, just because it makes his name not as good. Other than that, hooray!
  9. I also like have McCarty. He's great at what we need him for, and that is defense. And hitting 3-0 fastballs over the monster...
  10. Congratulations, NYH, that's great to hear. Sure trumps my IPod.
  11. Finally Bonds will have someone to protect him in the lineup.
  12. Very, very, very good. The Red Sox have done a great job this offseason.
  13. Here's something I don't understand. Sheets and Pavano are about the same age and both had break out seasons last year. Why is Pavano such an overpaid stiff, and Sheets will be our savior?
  14. Made me laugh, but it's a great point. Throw anyone in there and its still dominant.
  15. I'd like to see us get Jennings. He can be very effective.
  16. I can't see the Sox thinking about this, especially since it hinges on us not signing Renteria.
  17. If we had signed Pavano, all of you would be saying he's better than Pedro and that we don't need him anymore. Pavano is a good pitcher and the Yankees made a good signing.
  18. Good find, Calvn. That makes me really happy, best Sox news since...um...well something happened in October that was good.
  19. If this is what we are all doing, I'll do it.
  20. Based on stats, Bonds is it hands down. I think Beltre desrves some merit for his great season.
  21. But remember, this was all before they won the World Series. I'm sure sitting on the bench during the games in St. Louis must have taught Millar something about the concept of a team and how much more rewarding playing for a great team could be. It's also hard to see Millar playing for a team that he has insulted
  22. You make some good points, I just think getting rid of Millar would be hard. He's under contract for one more year, probably one of the most popular players among his teammates, and does not have very much value across the league. Remember, he almost played in Japan. Best case scenario to me would be keeping Millar as a pinch hitter (where a guy like him usually excels) and maybe for late inning power. Mienkewicz is a great player and I would love to see him every day.
  23. Hey, guys, thanks for the great first Talksox season! I had fun talking to all of you and I can't wait till next year. GO SOX
  24. Your class is apreciated
  25. I'm confused...did the red sox just WIN THE WORLD f***ING SERIES!?!?!
