  1. Pedro is pitching extraordinarily well. And the tally is now at one on the wayback homerun tracker.
  2. It's moved to fights because thats what it was, a fight. Look before posting please.
  3. If I hear any more about Kobe Bryant I'm gonna kill myself. For the past 3 days all we've heard about on ESPN and everything is how Kobe this and Kobe that. Ugh. They even have a stat comparing how his jersey is selling now compared to other players. Give it a rest folks, please. It's like OJ 2. http://history.sandiego.edu/gen/USPics40/bronco.jpg
  4. Good post there Beaneater, and I especially love your signature. Anyway, Wasdin's stats this year are: 2004 TEX 9 7 2 2 0 0 0 43.2 58 34 34 12 14 25 7.01 1.65 .319 He's started 7 gmaes out of 9 appearances, and he has a 7.01 ERA. No need to say this because its painfully obvious, but he sucks. In his 4 years with Boston, wayback performed somewhat better: 1997 BOS 53 7 4 6 0 0 0 124.2 121 68 61 18 38 84 4.40 1.28 .251 1998 BOS 47 8 6 4 0 0 0 96.0 111 57 56 14 27 59 5.25 1.44 .288 1999 BOS 45 0 8 3 2 0 0 74.1 66 38 34 14 18 57 4.12 1.13 .236 2000 BOS 25 1 1 3 1 0 0 44.2 48 25 25 8 15 36 5.04 1.41 .273 I don't remember him too well, but he did show some promise as a starter. He obviously hasn't developed given his current stats. Our hot bats should destroy him, and Manny should come out of his mini-funk.
  5. "way back wasdin". And I predict a 58-0 victory with him pitching.
  6. Quick, elsrbueno, predict another loss please!
  7. Wow, I was wondering when this would happen. Sox V. Cubs would be on of the best series imagineable.
  8. lol, suuuuure. I was just about to come here and demand that you do it. SWEEP BABY!
  9. Uh-oh. Good luck to her, hopefully she'll turn out OK. UUU must be spooked now though.
  10. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/bo...s_bos&fext=.jsp How come no one is giving Trot s*** for only playing 29 games this season? I dont get it.
  11. No one cares. Talk about it here: http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?threadid=69094 if you must.
  12. Something I wanted to add. I was paying a lot of attention to Sveum yesterday, and he had more than his fair share of calls to make at 3rd. I think he did a nice job, he sent runners home when he was supposed to, and he made a nice call keeping manny at 3rd with no outs in the later half of the game. He eventually scored. I dont know if he has redeemed himself, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
  13. I am happy, and I'm by no means complaining. I stopped looking at the yankees score after the 3rd inning and just focused on a win against Aneheim. 3.5 games looks miiiiighty purdy when your team is playing so well. 3.5 up, 3.5 back.
  14. Lol, a yankee fan, for once, referring to the beginning of the season and ignoring the tail end! Sounds like a Red Sox fan.
  15. About the whole "Red Sox have no class" thing from last year. A team that has no fun (read: the yankees) and that acts like they all have a 10 foot pole stuck up their asses has a hard time winning. You need to give the players room to breathe. Reason number 67 why the Red Sox are better than the Yankees.
  16. It was a good game to be at, pretty high scoring, but whatever. Too bad the yankees won.
  17. Good writeup elsr, but of course you have to predict an Angels victory on the day I'll be going to the game, dammit. Oh well, I hope you're wrong.
  18. Bahahaha, "Rosie O'Donnel trying to hold off Michael Phelps in the 100 butterfly." BEST LINE EVER!
  19. Haha, you can see the exasperation in their faces! Thats an awesome picture yankshater.
  20. For some reason or another, we've always thought that the sox have had bad chemistry. Even last year, with all the stupidity that was Kevin Millar, these guys didnt seem to be having fun. I'm reluctant to say it, but maybe Nomar really was a clubhouse cancer, and his trade was the catalyst this team needed. Anyway, I found a good article on ESPN about the sox clubhouse and players and I found it very interesting. It basically compares the free spirit attitude of the sox to the strict and proper Yankees. I've read other articles like this, and they always make me happy. But is chemistry enough to make a team play as well as they have been for the past month? Discuss.
  21. Moving to general baseball.
  22. http://bigleaguers.yahoo.com/mlbpa/players/5338 Hmm, maybe trading Sandy was the spark the Guardians needed to destroy the yankees tonight. But no, not a big transaction at all.
  23. And now the streakiness takes a turn upward I guess. It's fun to watch. Like a rollercoaster.
  24. Read these threads to laugh: http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?threadid=69059 http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?threadid=69074 http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?threadid=69068 And most importantly, the game thread: http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?threadid=69051 Soooo enjoyable. Savor our moment guys.
  25. Man, this is great. I didnt follow either game live, checked on my cell phone, and saw that the yankees were losing 19-0! To the Guardians! One of the better days of the season, this is for sure.
