  2. The sox never win on my birthday. It's a fact of life.
  3. Clement is soooooo good. That is all.
  4. Hahahaha.
  5. Damon has surpassed Ichiro, according to mlb.com
  6. Hi and welcome to Talksox.
  7. Probably name recognition. Why does Nomar have 712,410 votes?
  8. Wow, that guy is obsessed with Biggio. Also, for those who care, yesterday was the 100th anniversary of Moonlight Graham's only game played in the majors.
  9. Funny. This city has 4 athletes on the list and we have 4 championships in the last 5 years.
  10. Kraft is saying that it was a gift. If he wants to give an expensive ring away, more power to him. International incident avoided.
  11. This thread needs more hilariousness: http://x2.putfile.com/6/17912351093.gif
  12. Bal/NY game is at 7 tonight, it's Mussina vs. Penn.
  13. At least we aren't the yankees!
  14. No fair! Next thing you know Pete Schourek's gonna be pitching perfect games...
  15. Well, he sure is attractive.
  16. Countdown until yankee fans start bitching about ESPN's anti-yankee bias....
  17. Interesting. You're proposing that we take the road less travelled by the sox in recent years, and trade a veteran for some prospects? Most people around here are thinking quite the opposite, that we should get rid of one of our 'spects in order to get some reliever, not the other way around. It is true that we have been winning without Foulke pitching amazingly, but he has been pitching well on occasion, and he has helped more than he has hurt (probably). This has been said a million times, but we still dont have Schill, so when he comes back our starters may be able to pitch better on the average, which would either take pressure off of our bullpen or increase the need for a reliable closer so games we lead early on aren't blown at the end. The last thing I want to see is a closer by commitee. We all know how those work out. If we were to trade Foulke, who would close for us? Timlin? Arroyo after Schill gets back? We'd need to make a trade for someone to shore up the bullpen afterwards most likely, so we'd end up getting rid of some top prospects anyway, right?
  18. One thing's for sure. riverside sluggers needs to stop making game threads! We're 0-2 at home when he makes them!
  19. Maybe maybe not. In any case, welcome to Talksox.
  20. So I take it the end was a bad one. I tend to start watching movies and then forget to check on the game. Again, you can't win 'em all, even when you should. Right?
  21. And what a battle it was. 11 or 12 foul balls? Sheesh.
