Is it legal to have a dog play in MLB?

I was trying to Google this and mainly got jokes about air bud and Reddit threads. I know dogs can be bat boys in the minor leagues but theoretically, the strike zone is based off height, correct? Would it be legal/unethical to have a wiener dog hit, force a walk and then punch run David Hamilton and have him steal bases? Just trying to think outside the box strategically. 
 

Or theoretically let’s say we sign Sydney Sweeney. Could her good looks possibly distract a pitcher from throwing strikes to again make David Hamilton useful as a pinch runner? If Sydney Sweeney isn’t your cup of tea, you get the point, maybe switch to a different beautiful woman.

Steph, First off, congratulations on the All Star MVP.  Years ago, MLB unfairly banned the height insecure Eddie Gaedel , so they might have a problem with the wiener dog. But times have changed, so it just might be crazy enough to work. As for Sydney Sweeney, her OBP leaves something to be desired, but she would definitely be a positive presence in the clubhouse.
