If I'm not mistaken, Devers went about 20 games recently with a total of 3 RBI.

Maybe because everyone in front of him had a .150 OBP.

BTW, in that stretch, he had a .706 OPS- not good, but not awful, either.

One has to wonder if the SOX offense is better with Urias playing 2nd and Reyes at SS. Two bad calls by the chUMP that evened out and a terrible swing and miss by SOS.

TOR winning big.

SEA up, again, on HOU.

Maybe these two teams are for real, but we will need to pass both or one plus HOU.

But not Devers-like.

Exactly, Devers like and just about every other good hitter.

They all have slumps, and if .706 is as bad as the slump gets, I'll take it.

What is it with Duran leaping up the wall on a fly/liner well out of his reach? He does that regularly. Just once I'd like to see him do that when it actually made a difference.

Cora was right to complain and get tossed. Normally, I think it's a bad idea, but the ump is ridiculous--and in favor of the Yankees pitchers. I think they get away with these bad calls because they are unionized.

I could fix the bad calls without robo umps, but their union would object. I would simply set a standard--not too high, but not the ridiculous no standard they currently have--that, if not met, the ump would not get paid for that game. I would have another standard, much higher, that, if met, doubled that ump's pay for the game.

Excellent bunt by Reyes on his first attempt. They need to get rid of him because he makes the rest of his team look amateurish (when it comes to bunting).

I'd love it if by chance Houston didn't make the PO's.

It might not have anything to do with chance, if we win 6 or 7 out of the 7 we play them in the next 2 weeks,

Those pitches called balls were called strikes for the Yankees pitcher, after which Cora got thrown out of the game for complaining.

The second pitch was a strike against Mckinney but the others where balls.

This guy imploded against the bottom of this lineup. Go figure.

One more time. The pitches by Schreiber called balls were exactly where (but closer to the strike zone) the ump was calling them strikes for the Yankees pitcher against Story.
