This should be a fun series between two AL contenders who have been playing pretty good baseball this month; Boston and Cleveland have the third and fourth-best run differential in the league. Pivetta vs. Quantrill; Winckowski vs. Bieber; Hill vs. Civale. Prediction: one of these games expected to be a pitchers' duel will be a slugfest, while a pitcher with the worse stats will beat a guy with better numbers.

Even more fun after yesterday's break. I like your point about the unpredictability of this series because this has been an especially unpredictable season with, no doubt, many more surprises to come. Nice ballpark, too.

Cleveland's a good team with a good manager, but I am encouraged by the recent series vs. the Cardinals, also a Division leader, against whom the Sox took 2 of 3, with the two wins being close games and the loss a slaughter.

Sox still missing Whitlock, Eovaldi, Kike, Taylor, Sale, et al. Arroyo, a spare part, should be available tonight.

I am grateful for the discussion on Jose Ramirez, definitely (I now realize) a player to watch.

Duran is becoming what I had been expecting. Love the kid. He will be our titular CF moving forward and in years to come. He's living the process, he is starting to collect all the effort he has put. Good for him. Natural leadoff hitter.

Wonder why people complain about his defense. it is great as well. What an athlete btw

JBJ is a terrible ball player who has had plenty of opportunity to turn his career around .Time To DFA JBJ it’s waaay past time .Reff is heads and toes better than this stiff enough already

Wasted opportunities by JBJ and Vaz .Id get rid of both .

They surely didn’t bring JBJ back for his bat. He has been terrible before he got here.

Had Alan Porter not blocked the pitch in the dirt or if Arroyo had broken for second and continued , the game would not still be tied. And if JDM could buy a hit, everything would be nice
