Gee whiz guys, this team is getting real close to a milestone. Coming back from a ridiculous start to this season. If we had a shutdown closer, all would be well. Just throwing some gas out there to see who's smoking

Ryan B. warming up, wants the role.

So it appears the upcoming opponent , LAA, choked on the chicken yet again and lost their 11th in a row in the bottom 9th , giving up a 3 run HR. Their shutdown closer, Iglesias surrenders 1 on his own and sets up 2 on base for his reliever, Herget, who promptly gives up the 3 run HR , so the Angels fall 1 below .500. The Sox will pass the Angels in the WC standings if Brasier can get 2 more outs.

The Sox will then go to Anaheim to meet a badly discouraged team. Walk on eggshells lest they wake up the Angels

Yankees will likely run away with this division but let’s hope we can play them well when we meet them. Pick up some confidence against them.

Before the 9th, I was wondering if 20 pitches would be the over/under for Brasier , because after he loses his effectiveness fast. The next pitch is #20. Good luck, Ryan

The SOX sent Bra Man down to WOO. The WOO manager tells the SOX there's nothing better down here. SOX FO says ok, send him back here.

Great summation !

Terrific win!!! I saw very little because this game coincided with our youngest granddaughter's graduation from high school.

Another quality start, this time by the 5th man in the rotation, Hill. Plus some timely hitting. moonslav disagrees, but I think the rotation is way better than the bullpen. The top 5 (Wacha, Pivetta, Whitlock, Eovaldi, and Hill) have started 49 of 54 games and accumulated 253.1 innings, which is over half of the total innings (482.2) pitched to date. Indeed, they have averaged over 5 innings per start (divide 253.1 by 49) and their ERA's range from 4.04 (Hill) to 2.43 (Wacha).
