The Rays let up 13 hits and 8 runs, but still won rather easily vs the O's.

They've won 10 out of 11 and 17 out of 21.

They are 82-48- same as the Dodgers.

The Rays were 40-20, last year, so they are now 102-68 over their last 170 games. (98-64 in their last 162)

Might’ve been. I just copied what tweet said, but typically EST is Eastern standard time.

Which would apply if it were February or November. EDT during the baseball season.

Back to the game.

20 pitch first inning does not bode well for a long Houck outing, which is badly needed.

Just wonder if the Sox will show up for the four game series. They have been embarrassed lately by hood teams.

They are one tough team, no doubt about it.

Houck looking flaky, starting the 3d with a BB an an HBP. This is why he struggles to go 5 innings. Good stuff, erratic control.

But, we are on Eastern Daylight time, now (EDT).

What is it about our opponent's 8-9 hitters that strike such fear into our pitchers that we walk or hit them, so often?

Wow. Did Houck go to church today?

Just like that- inning over.

At 49 pitches, maybe he can go 6.

He needed 35 pitches to go 2 innings, then gives up a walk and an HBP and is headed for 20 or more pitches and runs in the 3d when, presto magico, the batter swings at a pitch way inside but makes enough contact to set up a tailor made GIDP. This is followed hard grounder right to Dalbec for the 3d out and a 14 pitch inning.

Heck, I hope he goes 7 innings.

Duran with the bases loaded gets a big discussion on the mound. I'm thinking heat.

Nice cutter for strike 1.

Heat x 2, both for balls.

Excellent cutter low and away for strike 2

ball four--cutter low and away

4 cutters, 2 fastballs, 3-2

Duran, like Dalbec, earned that walk by fouling off that 3-2 cutter.
