Yes, but if he ran the bases properly and got to third, Dalbec would have got a double. Both would have scored on the bloop by Verdugo. It ended up costing the Sox a run, which is the margin of the loss. Dumb.

Completely agree. That said, the replays show him going back to 1b and camping there, so I'm guessing the 1b coach completely agreed or maybe even told him to tag up.

West coast or not they should of taken 2 of 3 against this s*** team.

Before the season FanGraphs gave the Los Angeles Angels a 39.5 percent chance of advancing to the postseason and the Red Sox a 38.9 percent chance:

Their seasons have gone in opposite directions but the Red Sox had one of their better West Coast trips with a 3-3 record. Five of six games were decided by one run as the Red Sox were outscored 23-22. Nothing like the 12-1 shellacking the New York Yankees laid on the Mariners in Seattle last night.

They rate slightly above the Yankees in my book, and the gap is only a couple pages.

I’m not crazy on them either but I love Price and he has been spectacular. Hope he wins it. But yes I can’t stand Montreal fans

Granted Flames fans are by far the worst and it’s not even close. As an Oilers fan, I can say no fan base is more annoying and douchy than Calgary Fans. Can’t stand them

Good time to get two days off. We are not playing tomorrow. Tropical storm warnings issued throughout all of New England. At least 2 inches of rain coming. Get some rest, play 2 vs the Phils on Saturday, finish strong on Sunday and then enjoy the break.

We lost 2 in a row and stil have the second best record in all of MLB.

And the Giants and Dodgers had rough weeks as well, so we didn't lose any ground in the race for best record. Houston is on our tail, though, and the White Sox are getting hot again. Can't wait to play them in Chicago

Ending up with the best record, or best AL record, would be sweet, but making the playoffs, perhaps by winning the ALE has to be the main prize sought, this year (without messing with our future, of course).

More and more, it looks like we are the favorites to win the division and have very favorable odds at making the playoffs.

WHAT A SEASON!

Agreed. It will be interesting to see what we do at the deadline. I personally don't think we need very much. Maybe a minor move here and there. We definitely don't need something Earth-shattering. And it's not like the Rays or Yankees are known for making headline deals at the deadline either. Hasn't Cashman stayed relatively quiet the last few years?

The thing is, Eovaldi & Pearce turned out to be rather "earth shattering," despite not seeming to be at the time of the deals.

As for Cashman, yes...

2020: nothing

2019: Joe Harvey for Alfredo Garcia

2018: Tyler Austin & Luis Rijo for Lance Lynn

Shreve & Gallegos for Luke Voit

McKinney & Drury for JA Happ

3 players for Zach Britton
