He has 4 blown saves. He has definitely been good but since mid may he's been hittable. 3.71 ERA , 6 walks ,and opponents batting 240. That's in his last 17 innings pitched. His control has been shaky lately

It's a very high stress job. There is a very short list of those who have been able to do it at a high level for any length of time. Matt Barnes deserves a lot of credit . He is one of the reasons the Sox are where they are.

I remember how much criticism Kimbrel took because he caused so much drama closing a lot of games. Playing for Boston is not easy and closing for Boston; that's even more stressful.

Could be tired, a good point. And he could be affected by the Commish's dictum. Also strongly agree about the strain and drama of closing games.
