With the control issues of the SOX pitching staff, perhaps VAZ should employ a knuckleball catcher's glove. That would give his pitchers a bigger target.

LOL I’m not defending him, just pointing out the facts. Pivetta has kept us in the game and is facing a top ten wRC+ team which btw leads the majors in HRs. If you ask me and if he keeps doing that the rest of the season I’d sign it in a heartbeat.

 

Yes, and as I said, offense is struggling against a bum. Good thing their BP is around the corner and is arguably the worst of the majors.

 

Btw Pivetta just gave us 6 IP (and almost get a QS) —btw defense didn’t help. In my book it is not a great start by any means but given the circumstances it is a solid one for a guy like Pivetta.
