Verdugo is likely the best Ofer we have to put in CF. In fact I don't think there is any doubt about it.

I still think he belongs in Fenway's RF. On the road, maybe CF is best.

Kike has good defensive metrics in CF, but his sample size is scattered over many small stints.

Maybe this...

Fenway & parks with shorter LF's:

Cordero/Renfroe LF, Kike CF, Verdugo RF

Parks with shorter RF's:

Verdugo LF, Kike CF, Renfroe/Cordero RF

As long as Arroyo keeps hitting, 2B should be his FT position. That squeezes Kike to the OF, where we just happen to have two struggling, platoon-type players.

It's really this simple.

(Marwin can be worked into the equation easily enough, too.)

Lousy game thus far. I don’t think the Mariners are this good but we sure are making them look great.

if this is going to be "our game" all year the bats are going to have to show up every contest.

I like our best Ofer in RF at home too. The RH pitcher going for us should have made that the more natural call as well...which in my case makes me worry even more that Cora felt compelled to put Verdugo in CF today.

When we had Betts it made sense to put JBJ in CF as he was a better CF than Mookie was. Betts was out of this world in Fenway RF.

Our defense so far this year SUCKS BALLS

The first 3 games of 2021 exposed out horrific defense.

It hasn't miraculously improved since then. It will cost us more games to come.

Eovaldi has shown great control, so far this year.

27 Ks

4 BBs

in 27.2 innings and counting.

It's the hits that are hurting him. (Only one of his 4 BBs scored.)

99 fastball. He has some heat

Not typical Nasty Nate today though. Throwing some wild pitches. His control looks off.

This SOX line-up has 4 guys who can actually hit; Cannot afford to lose any one of them.

Yup!! We have managed two hits today. This offense is slowly starting to spiral down

Hey, we might still have JBJ at least at the plate. His name is Cordero. Lucky us! He looks so much like JBJ up there that it scares the s*** out of me.

You follow hockey, Tyler. What happened to X-man would be similar to a deflected shot in hockey.

Ya I didn’t see that till the replay. You’re right. Just the luck we have today.

At this rate, as the season moves along, the BP is going to need duct tape to keep their arms from falling off.

Hey what's wrong with 5 innings worked at a run an inning. I am sure they were not all earned but our starters seems to be trying to figure out if they want to go for a run per inning or a walk per inning. Must be quite a dilemma.

I can see the natives getting restless at 5-9 in the order.

Love the team chemistry Love how they act in adversity but some hard facts to face going forward are to me 1.we have terrible situation at catcher they both are crappy game callers

2.Bobby D and Frenchy look like AAAA ball players completely overmatched and hurting the team

3 I am getting the impression Matt B is disgusted by Cora’s overuse and overexposure .

4 .Evoldi has to be better than this regardless of the catching situation

5.Errors and mental lapses such as not taking an obvious ball 4 is an issue this needs to be addressed immediately...Moving ones feet behind the plate and at 1b SS 3b is a laziness issue .

6.Whats Sales status I’ve heard zip on our ace and without him Erod Evoldi and I’m hoping Houck promotion we are a 500 team .

7.where is Kiki impact ? I’m dissatisfied with him Frechy Bobby D the most .

8.Cora has been average at best
