I certainly agree with that^^! but it seems to me that there's been a big drop-off in pitching from the 2018 season. That's what I see as being really odd and makes me think there's more to it than just the pitchers.

But again, I don't have the stats to back it up so it's just my perception.

Back in the day when there were only 16 ML teams, it was not unusual for players to spend 4 to 5 years in the minors. Also, back then, if a pitcher's ERA was over 4, he was usually sent back to the minors. I get it that every major city wants a pro baseball team, and baseball is making a lot more money now then then, but it has definitely been detrimental to the quality of the game.

Again, this situation is also true for pro football, pro basketball, and pro hockey.

When Moreland and Pearce return, will the SOX option MC Hammer and Marco back to Pawtucket? Obviously, there could be trades made making this question mute. Personally, I'd prefer to keep Hammer with the big club and trade Moreland.

Chavis will move to 2B, when Moreland returns. Travis will be sent down.

Pearce will likely be DFA'd, or we'll send Marco down.

He's a new man!

BTW, who was the clown who wanted Devers moved to 1B?

Oh for god sakes. Was that you too???? You been hitting the rum again?

Thanks, Moon. I'd forgotten about Travis. Damn, how many options does Sam have left?

BTW, I know a young lady who ran in the "Run to Home Base", several years ago and back then they required a $2500 entry fee to participate.

Can Porcello go one more inning? Then it’s not a horrible night.

Not a horrible night, but not a quality start either. 10 runs and counting will smoke screen a mediocre pitching performance.

It's one per year, no matter how much you are yo-yo'd.

He has 1 left.

I still want him traded. Call me a clown, a fool.. w/e. We all have our opinions.

I was the clown I was talking about.

I'd trade him tonight for the right return.

Not horrible. But bad enough. Four runs in five innings so far. Even four in six isn't good.

Actually, my position was to give him more time at 3B, but I felt he'd eventually be moved to 1B.

You'd trade your mother for the right return though. :D

Ya can’t remember the last time Porcello has this long of an ugly stretch. He’s due for a good game one would think.

Bogey has been "the man" all year, but does anyone else fell like I do, that Devers will pass him in OPS by year's end?

(Not a slight on Bogey, here.)

I’m not sold on the guy.. I take no pleasure saying that at all. He’s a pretty good player.. not great. For the right return?? In a second.

Ya he rebounded. But ugly start.

Hard to predict the future, Moon, but if someone asked me if I could only keep one player on the SOX right now, it would definitely be Devers. As far as your question goes, yes I feel Devers will.

I think he might have an occasional good game. Same with Sale. But its almost August now...turning it around isn't going to happen.

I may be the only one who hasn't given up on Porcillo. I still think he's going to get it together. He seems like the kind of guy to me who's willing to work hard to improve/remake his game whatever it takes.
