Hear that? Auto ump if it gets here will likely mean can't argue/comment on balls and strikes along with everything else they players and manager can not "discuss" with the umps or anybody else. Its already an utterly joyless, mainly boring game to everybody but us nutjobs (and there is not enough of us). More boredom and lack of personality should do wonders for the game's popularity.

One hitter's discussing is another man's arguing. You want to tell me hitters don't discuss with the ump? You want to tell me pitchers don't?

You can as a player up to a certain point. For a manager it's instant ejection, but with some of these s***** umps getting ejected would be worth it. The umpires' union could correct this themselves, but they don't give a s***. That's why Angel Hernandez is a crew chief and Joe West is a mannequin.

This is what I am commenting on.

Sale got screwed on a couple calls, but neither was egregious. His problem is he doesn't get many fly or pop outs or ground outs.

Stripling meanwhile is coasting on half the pitches per inning.

Seeing that the Rays and Yanks have already lost, I am going out on a limb and say the Sox lose tonight. Just based on many years of experience with this team.

Stripling's knuckle curve is far more effective than any pitch Sales throws. He can throw in right down the middle and the Sox still can't hit it solid.

Had Vaz totally set up for that FB. Sox hitters have no idea what this guy is going to throw them when and he is totally freezing them with that Curve.
