Oh they sure did. CAN YOU BLAME THEM? Lol. Two hard hit baseballs find outs this inning.. I dunno if we’re snake bitten or what.

Sean McDonough got fired mainly because he did criticize the team.

I actually learn more about the SOX when I'm getting feeds from the opposing teams' broadcasts than I do from NESN.

That is a good idea. I'll try that for awhile because at least it would be something new.

It's strange an outdoor park has turf. What was the reasoning?

This was in the early days of artificial surface when counties and cities building parks using Muni Bonds and responsible for the maintenance thought that astro-turf was the surface of the future. Hold a concert and get out a big vacuum to prepare for tomorrow's ballgame. Many of those parks were uni-dimensional as well which simply did not say baseball. Anyway, they did not account for how hot the stuff got in the summer exposed to the sun. How slick the surface was in the rain nor how much the cement underneath came through and was felt by the player. You felt every step on that crap all the way up to your balls.

But teams that had the surface quickly turned into speed teams. The whole Walt Hriniak thing of hitting with a level swing became very popular precisely because of artificial surfaces.

I was a two sport athlete but I never played baseball on the surface. But I did play football on it. Hated it. Ever time you landed you thought your teeth were going to rattle out of your mouth. Horrid stuff. Then your athletic shoes would slide and slide and slide when the surface was wet all the way till that one time when they caught and I mean CAUGHT. Knee injury....get him outta' here.

The Red Sox need the long ball... apparently tagging the ball well is an automatic out tonight.. it’s official, we’re struggling vS KC.

launch angle my friend. Line drive singles hitters don't get the babes or the runs.

Just be thankful that you don’t have to listen to the YES broadcast... Good God. The biggest babbling homers this side of Hawk Harrelson. But at least Hawk doesn’t make mistakes every game.

Agreed. I always mute the YES broadcasts. Ken Simpleton really is as dumb as he looks.

With the Bruins now in a real mess with the Blues.. courtesy of last night, i’m reeeeeally not in the mood for a Red Sox loss tonight. Not against the Royals man. Come on.

with 2 on, no outs, time to see if Erod developed cojones in the dugout this time. 2 very cheap OBP contributions.

Any word on Chara?

As good as the B's looked in Games 1 and 3, they had no clue in #4. Totally outskated and out hustled. It truly looks like a 7 game Cup series.

Because I live in central NY, all SOX/Yankem games, whether home or away, are always on YES, unless they're picked up by a major network.

Albany, Utica, Amsterdam, Canajoharie, Syracuse, Rochester ?? You don't have to identify if you don't want.

Yep.. and with Chara out this is now a toss up, sadly. I still think that they will out skate them but I had them in 6 before.. looks like a seven game series if I ever saw one. Regroup, and blow them out in game 5, then go from there.

Can Cora be held accountable for this garbage? This team looks dead. Yankees losing and we are losing to this garbage team.

Ok, have to compliment Erod for getting out of that problem. A K and a DP were perfect, so on his way to another quality start, but not yet a win. I think the bats will wake up in the 6th.

I have not looked but he HAS in recent games seemingly cut down on his pitch count. Don't know where he is tonight.
